Remington One Flat Hair Iron + Curler

I was excited about this tool so I could eliminate a seperate curling iron. I don't care for it. The straight part is fine but it doesn't give much of a curl at all. I have a regular curling iron that is the same size barrel and it curls great. I have really long hair and curled it all, sectioning out the hair and curling very small sections at a time, but about 1/3 of it looks completely straight. I tried an area 3 times and it just isn't curling and I don't have really fine, or hard to curl hair. The weight is really annoying. This weighs at least double my normal hair tools. It starts getting heavy a few curls in. Even my 25 year old daughter, who always does her hair and has many hair tools, couldn't believe the weight.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dual 2-in-1 Remington flat iron and curler is a great option to simplify your hair tools. I enjoyed the flat iron option but the curler was not my favorite option. The lock for the protective shield tended to unlock often on accident. It is a good budget option for two tools in one but I prefer just using it as a flat iron.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that this is a two in one product. My everyday routine for doing my hair it to straighten it, curl it, and then straighten the ends. So having a product that does both sounds great in theory. I will say this is a great backup and great for traveling, but I wouldn’t say it replaces my current routine. It might just be a learning curve, but for me, switching it from straightening to curling was more challenging than I thought and I burnt myself twice. Lol. But the concept is amazing. I do think for the price. This is a great value and like I said for situations like traveling, this is amazing. My results were awesome though! But I much prefer just using a straightener and curler!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, I fell asleep with wet hair and woke up with the whole side of my hair bunched up. So, before and after pictures of me using it to make it look like I didn’t fall asleep with wet hair. At first I wasn’t sure about the straightening part. My old hair straightener I realized it was squeezing the plates together as hard as I could to get my hair as straight as I could. The first time using this I realized that was something I didn’t need to do. My hair still came out straight even if I didn’t squeeze as hard as I could. The straightener I really like. I played around with the curling part as well and here is what I learned. If you have the straightener heated but decide to curl instead, you need let the plates cool before trying to move them. Also, it will only heat on the plates that are exposed (plate or barrell). I’m still sort of a noob when trying to curl my hair so I will not include any pictures of that. HOWEVER, I will be playing and experimenting more with curls now that I dont have to dig out the curling iron every time I want to use it. That is my most favorite part of this…I dont have to dig the other tool out. It’s already there I just have to adjust the plates! The only thing I wish is the plates had more of a lock on them. They do snap into place but if you are straightening and accidentally put your hand over them they can easily snap back.

Everytime I tried to use it as a wand I got bumps in my curls from where the two plates come together, even on the lowest heat setting. But my hair looks smooth and shiny when flat ironed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took me a second to figure out how the locking mechanism worked, but after I did, it was super easy to use! This is a great concept for travel since you’ll only have to pack one tool and be able to use for both straightening and curling! The last picture is my before picture and the first picture is straightened on one side and curl curled on the other. The barrel is on the bigger side so it leaves loose curls if that’s the style you like. The tool is a little bit on the heavier side, so I recommend packing in your carry-on, but all in all makes packing less, easier. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It works ok for actually styling but the stupid covers that you use to convert it dont stay in place at all so it really only functions well as a curling iron or wand because its almost impossible to safely use it as a flat iron. Otherwise it's ok

It’s nice to have an all in one for travel etc but the wand part is pretty small to curl my hair since the plastic has to slide down the length of the iron to transform from straighter to curler. It heats up very quickly and the cord is super long which is nice for moving around!!

This is very clunky to use and the added bulk of the sliding feature means you’d have to use a heat protector mat to put on your counter vs balancing it on your sink which was annoying. The clunky design also made it hard to straighten baby hairs or hair close to my face which is super annoying, because I have naturally wavy hair and those pieces need the most work. Finally, when actually straightening my hair, it felt like the plates couldn’t get close enough to fully grip onto my hair. Rather, it felt like it was pulling a lot and sounded terrible. I would not recommend this product.

It’s convenient to have one tool that does both straightening and curling — I switched the cover sleeve from plate mode to barrel mode in seconds, and was able to smooth out my hair and then create soft waves in one session. According to the manufacturer it offers a dual‑heat system (plates and barrel separately) and heats up in about 20 seconds, which held true for me. Saved me so much time. Highly recommend!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This device is okay, unfortunately the straightening panels don’t make full contact unless you’re squeezing extremely tight or have way too large of a hair strand in there. The guards for the curling barrel also get EXTREMELY hot if you don’t be sure to select straightening mode. Otherwise functions as you would expect.

Recommend for someone who doesn’t know how to curl with a straightener here you have both!

Id rather buy an inexpensive curling iron and flat iron seperately than use this. As a curling iron it is sooo difficult to get to twirl around and the lock function..awful. using it as a flat iron? The plates provide almost NO tension. Cool concept but horrible execution. Im disappointed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this Remington one flat iron +curler, works pretty good I could straighten my hair curle it, the little plactice slide bars on it some time slid when using it other then that I like everything else about this best thing is 2 for 1 easy to carry take place or put in bag for travle.. I've told all my friends my daughter want the one I have now... oh and it heats up fast and don't stay hot to long after turn it off..I'm happy with this product.. thanks.
