Very impressed! Yes, these beauties are MDF, but so is anything under $500-600 nowadays. Took a chance - despite the limited / negative reviews at Target.com - as I found the same exact item listed on another. well-known home decor site (for substantially more $$$) with literally hundreds of 5-star reviews. I purchased not one, but TWO of these cabinets, and both arrived in perfect condition. No cracked/damaged/scuffed pieces whatsoever. The boxes are HEAVY, but i had UPS place inside my garage - then I opened the boxes (one at a time) and easily carried in the individual pieces. Installation was straightforward; I’m a 54 yr old female who works 100% remotely, and built the 1st cabinet over my lunch hour (by myself), no issues. Just read each step twice & study the diagrams carefully. Assembled the 2nd cabinet after work and voila! Stunning accents for each side of my fireplace, which add a semi- boho farmhouse charm to my space. Quality is as expected for MDF - the base is sturdy and designed to (hopefully) prevent any sagging over time. Finding a gorgeous cabinet with “character”under $200/ea. is rare in this economy. Highly recommended and I couldn’t be more thrilled!

This little sideboard is cute and sturdy. It did have some imperfections but nothing too noticeable.

Love it! Fairly simple assembly, took 1 hour. Very good quality materials. Lovely color and seems like a durable finish. Really like the concealed push open door latches. Looks stunning in my coastal dining room.

Instructions are TERRIBLE!!! Literally pieces are labeled incorrectly. They call screws dowels. Don't tell you which direction to face most of the pieces and you have to cross your fingers and pray it's right. A lot of screw holes aren't pre drilled. Going on 3 hours of assembly so far and it's a nightmare. Also almost every piece came with scratches or chips.

I gutted and renovated an entire house and this sideboard is the hardest thing I have ever tried to put together. The “directions” are vague at best, pictures are tiny and grainy and you can’t see details of the parts, and have tons of “gotchas” they don’t include in early steps (i.e. placement of hinge pilot holes) that made me have to take apart and re-assemble this thing twice. Additionally, I had to get a replacement because the first one I ordered was damaged and stained- guess what? My replacement was stained and dirty as well, but I just put it together anyways because I wanted to be done with Target. I can’t recommend against buying this strongly enough.

Love this piece! It’s just what I needed but the color is definitely a little darker than pictured (only reason I gave it 4 stars).
