Disappointed
I normally love all of Rao,s products but this pesto was a disappointment. Very little basil flavor. A food blogger recommended keeping a jar of pesto when you need fresh basil and you’re out of it. This was really bland. I’ll go back to Cento or Delallo so much better.

Zero Pesto Flavor
This doesn't taste like pesto at all. The basil is so overpowering that's all you taste. And no olive oil? It made me think of how grass would taste blended into cheap oil. I've had much cheaper brands that were ten times better. Will not purchase again.

Horrible bitter tast
It’s gritty, almost like there are twigs in it. It’s has a horrible aftertaste. It’s so bitter. It completely ruined a dish I was making for guests. I had to throw the whole dish away. I usually love the Rao’s brand but not this.

Get another brand but this one!
I’m not very familiar with pesto, but I’ve tried it three times in my life. The first one was a homemade sauce my husband prepared, the second was a store-bought brand we purchased, and the third was this one. I have to say, this doesn’t taste like pesto at all. I checked the ingredients, and I was expecting that rich olive flavor to come through, but it never did. All I can taste is what feels like chopped herbs mixed with oil. It’s really bad—there’s not even a hint of pine nuts. Honestly, it’s just terrible and very disappointing. I’d much rather stick with the homemade version my husband makes or even the super cheap brand I tried before.

Great tasting product from Raos
Definitely one of the better store bought pestos. Tates great and makes a good addition to any pasta dish. Fits in the door of my fridge and I’ve reused the jars for leftover and homemade sauces.

Pesto Magic
Rao’s is one of my favorite brands. The quality of their products and the attention they pay to the ingredients they use is top notch! The pesto is one of my most purchased products. I use it in chicken wraps or with bruschetta, but my favorite is shrimp pesto pasta! It just has such a fresh taste and doesn’t get the weird slimy texture that some pesto’s get. By far my favorite!

Disappointed
I was very very disappointed to see that this pesto sauce was made with sunflower oil rather than olive oil. I expected better quality from this brand
