Q: Are Northern tissues 100% cotton or mixed fibers? I see nothing in the specs regarding fiber content.

A: All toilet paper is made of forest products, not cotton. It has to dissolve in sewer pipes and cotton wouldn't work.

A: Georgia Pacific does not directly and/or intentionally use any animal products in the manufacture of its Quilted Northern toilet paper and other retail paper products. Our investigations and research with suppliers indicate that none of our products, components and contaminants, as known to us, contain any products of animal origin. Furthermore, substances such as beef tallow, or beef derived products, are not used in, nor intentionally added to, the above-mentioned products. C-4225898

Great but covered in disgusting stains
I wanted to contact QN before posting a review, but their online agents are unavailable and their inquiry form asks for every bit of personal info there ever is. I love this toilet paper, it is soft and good, but the last batch I bought had several rolls covered in musty-smelling dark brown stains and am worried about using them.

Disappointed
I started buying this several years ago to replace Charmin because I thought it was a much better tissue paper. We always buy the big, thicker roo packages to last longer. The last three that we have bought have been terrible. The tissue is thinner, rips apart and dissolves as you are using it. I know everyone is trying to cut corners but as expensive as this is, it should be better quality. I even checked to make sure I hadn't bought the wrong thing.
