Description

The 90-Hour* Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier guards against problems caused by dry air in the home. It is ideal for use in small and medium sized rooms. Unlike other humidifiers that grow slimy mold on the water tank surface, Silver Clean Protection is embedded in the tank to fight the growth of mold and mildew on the surface of the water tank. Thanks to ultrasonic technology, it disperses a cool mist into the air, and is ultra-quiet making it ideal to have on while you sleep. This top fill humidifier has an optional aromatherapy tray so a few drops of essential oil can be added to create a relaxing atmosphere.The humidifier is equipped with a night light and variable mist control. A low water indicator light lets you know when it's time to refill the water tank. PureGuardian humidifiers create a better home environment for those suffering from colds, allergies and dry skin. Note: Run time is based off of running the unit on low speed, also depends on atmospheric conditions. PureGuardian aromatherapy oils are not included and must be purchased separately. Do not add oils to the humidifier tank as they can damage the humidifier and void the warranty. Only add essential oils to the pad that is included with the unit. Additional essential oil pads are available separately.

Q: What does the limited warranty cover? Purchased Feb 2019, stopped working May 2020. Cleaned it regularly, worked during the day just fine, turned it on that night, nothing. Cleaned it & tried again, still nothing.

Q: I know this is 'top fill' water tank. 1. Wondering if you can remove the water tank container to clean when needed? 2. And is it the only way to fill the water tank is from the top? Can you remove and fill in a sink?

  • A: The tank of this unit is not removable for cleaning, however there is a mist tube that can be removed which allows you full access to the inside of the tank. You can only fill the tank from the top of the unit.

  • A: You do not want to place this unit on anything absorbent, i.e. towels, carpeting, etc.. If the item needs to be on the floor a rubber mat under the unit is best.

I purchased 2 units, and run one in the main area of the house during the day and one in the bedroom at night. This is our first winter back north after nearly 30 years in the south,and the dry winter air does not make my sinuses happy. I am recovering from mold illness, so tried to use caution when choosing a humidifier. I purchased the extra little device that is supposed to discourage mold growth. I have used distilled water exclusively. Within the first week of use, I observed a pink residue forming on the humidifier. Online, some say that is mold, some bacteria. Either way, it is concerning. I have continued to use them, cleaning them every few days, but am continually battling the pink residue. I will be shopping for another option next winter.

Seriously best ever!

I have tried at least 6 different types of humidifiers and my biggest pet peeve is how quick they run out. This steam lasts forever!!! I've been using it for 3+ months now. I put it on med-high and it lasts a week, running every night. Produces a lot of cold steam. Love that I can fill from the top, so I can keep a gallon of water in my room that I can quickly poor in and don't have to hold over a sink. Also VERY quiet.

Nice Design

We recently purchased this cool mist humidifier and have liked it since day one. It allows you to easily adjust the direction of the mist and the amount of mist output. The best feature is the large tank and not having to fill it every 4 hours. It's also very quiet and doesn't gurgle like most humidifiers. I would definitely recommend it.

Third time owner

I have owned three of this. Only one has gone kaput and that was after 2.5 solid years of use (for $50 I’m not mad at that) and honestly I think my toddler turning it on and off over and over for almost a year is what really did it in. They are easy to clean, easy to fill, quiet. Not sure why other people had such a negative experience but I am assuming it comes down to receiving a lemon In the bunch and that many people who have had positive experiences aren’t leaving reviews. I never had to deal with customer service so I can speak on that part.

Great humidifier and very easy to fill

I had a warm mist humidifier that required lifting the full tank then flipping it over into the base everytime. The chore of soaking it in vinegar to remove the mineral scale was a huge pain. That's all in the past now that I have this H1175 1.5 Gallon Top Fill cool mist humidifier. I recommend buying the FLTDC20 humidifier demineralization cartridge that fits inside this unit and GGHS15 Aqua Stick humidifier water cartridge to help keep tank cleaner longer. It's good for those who can't lift, flip and drop in a full tank. I'm very pleased and I will be buying another one for a gift.

Humble humidifier

This humidifier is louder than the other humidifiers from Guardian. The top fill option takes a little getting used to. I had a gigantic spill when I tried to lift it out of the sink to bring it upstairs. I guess I prefer the bottom fill type.

I purchased 3, one for each bedroom. They worked amazing for the first few months to a year. They are all garbage now. One doesn’t produce any mist anymore, one produces mist but isn’t actually working, the water is the same and it’s been on all night.

Great addition to fight the winter

Makes the dry winter inside air much better. Easy to fill, easy to clean and multiple settings. Quiet too. Recommended to both older relatives with breathing problems to help moisten their air. The ability to add essential oil scents also a nice bonus.

High quality, Occasionally needs to be cleaned which is a simple wipe down, and the blue light works great for a night light. Run setting on a about 1/4 - 1/6 a turn. Anything much more than that and you could run out of water in one night.
