I was hooked from the first few seconds of this one. Last year, I listened to book 1 and knew after that one I had to continue Paradise's story and find out what happened with her parents and search for her brother. Right away, the book starts off with a m*rder and then things start to happen that are a bit creepy. There is mystery, a sweet second-chance romance that continues from book 1, Phantom of the Opera references, and suspense that will have you on the very edge of your seat. I couldn't stop listening the whole way through and definitely recommend this contemporary Christian Romantic Suspense to anyone wanting a story that will grow their faith, take them on a thrilling ride, and make them swoon. Highly Recommended

Coble's Sanctuary series continues with Prowl. This is the continued story of veterinarian Paradise Alden and animal sanctuary owner Blake Lawson. While there are many animals prowling around their enclosures at the sanctuary, the big question is what two-legged mammal is prowling around wreaking havoc on their lives, not only their lives, but also the lives of Blake's mother and younger brothers. How is it possible that such a well-meaning, loving family has such a wide range of possible enemies? The answer to that, as it often is in real life, is secrets that need to remain hidden and greed. In both her current series, Sanctuary and the Tupelo Grove series which Coble is co-authoring with Rick Acker, Coble's skills in plotting mysteries and writing them with just the right pace, developing characters readers care about, and leaving readers with a satisfying ending yet longing for more are in full display. I am grateful to have received a complimentary copy of Prowl from Thomas Nelson via NetGalley without obligation. All opinions expressed here are my own.

A must read!

The second book in the Sanctuary series is amazing!! Throw in a wildlife preserve set in Gulf Shores, a murder mystery, faith, and some romance by the fabulous Colleen Coble, and you have a great read! You won’t regret this one. And truly a story crafted amidst the wild animals at an animal sanctuary is different, intriguing, and so, so good! Following the first book in this series, Ambush, readers yet again find themselves at the Sanctuary where a murder has taken place. When a worker is found murdered, co owner Blake Lawson must work alongside veterinarian Paradise Alden to clear his name. Meanwhile Paradise finds herself searching for answers for a mystery of her own. Fast paced writing, deep characters, and the intense world of a wildlife sanctuary make this a must read!
