I don’t think this stays put very well. It’s hard to feel like it’s snug or secure in my vents. If I manage to get it in the vent tilts down with the weight of the phone, so I have to place it on the bottom of my vent. It ended up popping out often enough and dropping my phone onto my drinks in my cup holders and causing a headache when I needed it for a long haul drive with Maps open on my phone, so I tossed it.

DOES NOT FIT VENTS!!
iPhone doesn't fit inside and it's impossible to pull out because then the Popsocket falls off the vent!! My vents are NORMAL size and it's always falling out!!

I’m not sure why, but it has already started coming off of my dashboard. I followed the instructions to a Tee. I’ve only had it a few months, and I don’t use it heavily. I gave it two stars because the mount itself is very well built and designed, but that doesn’t help if it isn’t stuck to the dash.

I couldn't really get it to stick on my dashboard, which is the purpose I bought it for. I was going to return it for a refund, but the return process takes some time/effort (minimal, but not as simple as amazon's returns) so I just am holding on to it. The dashboard of my car is slightly textured (the plasticky rough texture) and I'm thinking that's why it wouldn't stick.

For the price I think you could find better mounts. It is nice that it works with pop sockets but the mounting angles can be finicky and I don’t feel like it will hold up well as the hinge is already loosening

This is my second one, first one got cooked in a heat wave, my favorite mount. Easy to set up and my phone stays secure. Maybe take it out of your car during a heat wave (the first one was also around 4+ years old.

Poor Design
There are no instructions provided. The sticky ring provided did not adhere to my dash. I had to buy 2-sided sticking squares to adhere it. The phone tilts down and in. I do not like this at all.
