Plow & Hearth Traditional Adjustable Window Candle with Auto Timer

I bought these lights to replace some cheap window lights I had previously bought while I was still a student. The bases of these lights are heavy and feel well made, so I was happy about that. I was a little leery of purchasing battery powered lights because my previous experience had been that of needing to buy large amounts of AA batteries about every 3 weeks. These have lasted for 4 weeks, have a timer built in, and produce a warm, bright light. My only complaint is that I can't set the timer myself. It's an internal timer without a switch. As soon as you screw the lightbulb in, the timer starts. It would be nice to be able to toggle the lights on and off. Other than that, I'm very pleased.

I have 8 others set up in a 2nd home in the mountains. Its wonderful to drive in after several weeks away and be greeted by lights in the window.

I got 3 for my kitchen windows and love them! Usualy the battery operated ones are dim. These are bright and sturdy. I love the look of no plugs hanging across the kitchen windows.

These are very classy. I have used plug in ones for decades but dealing with the plugs, extension cords and timers has become cumbersome. Plus, it is a great safety feature that these cool bulbs do not cause concern for fire or burnt materials if they are accidentally knocked over.

Love these candles. No cords. Turns on and off everyday at same time. Had a timer for 6 hours on. The base has some weight to it so they do not fall over very easy.

The base is narrow which fits well on my window sill! Love the candle with no electric cord. Goes on and off & I do t have to worry about it.

I love these window candles!! I love everything about them; the beautifully crafted heavy base; the light that shines brighter out and softer inward, and the auto timer that is still amazing my husband and myself. I should have bought them a long time ago. I highly recommend their purchase

These window candles are very well made. Have a nice weight to them so they will not tip over. The candle part can easily be removed so the batteries can be installed. Nice light! One suggestion: do not put the batteries in until you want them to come on for the evening. They are not light sensor lights. They will only be on for a certain time after you insert the batteries, so if you have several, you'll want them to come on at the same time. Have always used the ones that plug into an outlet. They were so flimsy that I would have to tape the base to the window sill so they would stay put. These are such an improvement for me.

Had to put two candles in each window to get enough light to see from the street. Nice quality. Wish you could reset the timer with a switch versus having to unscrew the bulb.

Prior to using these candle lights with the automatic timer, I used electric candles and hooked up a timer. This is more convenient and no cords.

I had so many problems this year with my electric candles and when I saw these on sale I had to buy them. They are beautiful and elegant and no cords or wires. I like them so much that I have decided to leave them in the windows all year long

I like the overall quality of the candles, and I really love not having to deal with cords and seeing my candles already on when I get home from work. However, of the 22 candles that I purchased, five of them were defective. Plow and Hearth has agreed to replace them with no problems, but I felt like that percentage of replacement was not something that I want to take a chance on again. Love the candles, and how they look from the outside, but a little concerned about the other issue.

These are really nice, been looking for a long time for something of this quality in a cordless. Almost as bright as my corded candles but no ugly cords and no worries about leaving them plugged in while gone

These are very pretty in the window. I do wish they were a warmer light, but at least they're not the blue-white LED, but definitely worth keeping.
