I agree with the other reviews. Even thought the sleek design of the Brightroom 13 gallon step trash can will grab your attention, like it did myself, the durability of the foot step will have you buying a different trash can within a year. I like the trash can but would love if the foot step was way more durable.

Very hard to clean
I hate this trash can. It looks nice and thats about it. The part where the lid attaches and opens - food and stuff gets stuck there and its so hard to get out. Also the bags do not lay perfectly spread put in the hinges. That just bothers me personally. I wouldn't recommend this item just because of how hard it os to keep clean and deep clean.

We were looking for something that our kiddos wouldn’t be able to get it (curious toddler and rambunctious 8 month old rottie) love the lock feature my son learn quickly he could not open this (at least until he figures out the lock but that’s a worry for another day haha) . Nice sleek design
I like the locking feature and the fact that the foot pedal can be moved up and down. However, i need to make sure and put a sign on it for people to check and make sure it is unlocked before opening bc the pedal broke when someone tried to open it when locked
