These artificial eggs offer a fun and mess-free alternative for dyeing and decorating, especially for young children. Guests appreciate the vibrant colors when using markers, and the durability of the eggs allows for repeated use without the worry of breakage. However, the dye included in the kit does not adhere well, leading to mixed experiences. Overall, they serve as a creative option for family activities, though some guests recommend using alternative coloring methods.

These float in water so you have to hold them under for the dye to get on the entire egg. The bags with dye only color one egg and it doesn’t give even coverage. These are best if wanting to paint or color.

Your child's tears will stick better than the dye.
Hot mess express…I liked the idea of eggs I did not have to boil, but these did not work at all. Dye provided does not stick to eggs. Waste of money, only brought tears.

Will not purchase again.
The colors did not distribute well on the eggs. The eggs came out streaky and can still see white of the egg. It was difficult to have all 4 of the color liquid in the plastic bags without spilling, I used cups to hold the bags upright. Will not be purchasing again and will stick with the original egg dyeing kit with vinegar and the color tablet.

It is what you make of it. Great for toddlers.
Obviously these are not as good as dying real eggs, but great for the purpose of avoiding real eggs. My 2.5 year old loved it. We counted the eggs, identified colors, & saw what happened when we tried doubling colors.

Awful ressults & dye comes off dried eggs
The eggs did not come out looking anywhere near those shown on the packaging. The dye does not adhere well to the plastic eggs, even though the instructions indicate that this is the only dye that will work. The eggs end up looking drippy. Worse, even after the eggs were dried for a whole day, if you touch them with damp hands or your toddler sticks one in her mouth, the dye comes completely off the eggs. I suppose that was a plus since I rinsed all of the eggs under cold water, and the dye came completely off. Now I can can look for another way to use these eggs. I would not buy again.

Does not hold the dye
What seemed like a simple solution to dye eggs is a waste. These cannot be dyed with other kits and the little packets and baggies that come with these are not as fun and not enough paint for the whole dozen. I went out and bought white eggs and boiled them.

DOESNT WORK. Do not buy!
Dye that comes with the eggs barely dyes the eggs. It doesn’t even dry on the egg and it wipes off. Got all over my child. Don’t waste your money

The concept was great but the execution of these are terrible. We followed the directions exactly and it just doesn’t stick to the egg, the kids splashed water nearby two days later and the dye came off. Pointless

Great eggs for using markers and stickers
I read the other reviews for these plastic eggs and opted to not try the dyes. Instead, my 3 1/2 year-old had lots of fun coloring them with regular markers. The markers worked well with them and didn’t smear right off. We used another kit with stickers to decorate them some more and now they are all around our house as Easter decorations.

The eggs do not die as pigmented as pictured
I bought this set for the eggs, thinking they were for use with any egg dying kit. I figured having a few fake ones mixed in with our hard-boiled ones would be nice so that we don’t have a fridge full of hard-boiled eggs. However, I was surprised to find these eggs come with their own dye set and they do not die with the other typical vinegar sets. I followed the instructions and use the eggs as they said. It was very easy, however it didn’t give much opportunity for creativity. I mixed the colors, but they ended up looking better just solo color. I don’t know if this would be great for kids. It says keep away from small kids under three years old. I plan on having my kids decorate them with a permanent marker after they dry to add more decoration

These were terrible. My kids were so disappointed that even with the provided dye, the eggs did not absorb color properly. 0/10 do not recommend.

Dont bother, just paint them instead
It’s just not the best design, the colors don’t mix very well, there’s not really enough dye for all 12 eggs, 5 year old would mix it in the bag but the bag would get turned around and the egg and dye would come out, Dye was really sticky? My daughter didn’t like it and chose to paint them instead.

Meh
These are okay. The coloring is not great. We ended up using markers instead
