It has a pressure sensor that protects teeth and gums from excess brushing pressure. Brush heads wear out over time. Our BrushSync technology tracks how long you have been using your brush head and how hard you have been brushing. It will beep to inform you when to replace your brush head. I got this for Christmas to replace my Oral B. When I saw how much they were, I told my husband, I think he wasted this money, because I had an electric toothbrush already. I cannot believe the difference of this toothbrush makes! My teeth feel clean all day, and I love the white and gum cleaning option. This thing really is worth the upgrade!!!

Planned obsolescence

I have purchased all models and it will not matter - they all stop functioning well after 2 years. So, why bother to spend more money on the expensive model?? Talk about planned obsolescence! Same on Phillips.

Poor quality
They do a great job cleaning your teeth but we have had to replace it every year because they break. One time they gave us a replacement at no cost but in the past five years we’ve purchased four. We use only the skincare brand toothbrush heads with it. The quality isn’t very good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Sonic toothbrush works well it keeps my gums healthy as well as control of tartar which would turn into plaque. I have 6 month dental cleanings and they asked if I wanted to just come yearly . Phillips is the only place I found for choice of colors . (I have Navy Blue ) The 3 speeds come in handy. I can definitely say this is the only electric T. B. for this household after trying the other electric T.B. in the market.

New Design Flaw
I purchased this in May of 2024 and now (October 2025) I have had to request a warranty replacement twice due to it breaking. The way they designed the connection between the head and the body leads to it becoming loose and it eventually stops vibrating properly. I had the original Sonicare toothbrush last from 2007-2023 but the new design is terrible.
