Description

The Other Side is alto saxophonist Peter Dicarlo's second album as leader. Having relocated from New York City to Turkey three years ago, DiCarlo explores a fusion of jazz styles, incorporating subtle Turkish influences. Departing from his traditional jazz roots, the album weaves original compositions with nods to his first album, Onward. Featuring Istanbul jazz talents Uraz Kivaner, Ozan Musluoglu and Ferit Odman, the album pays homage to jazz history, blending Turkish musical nuances.
