Was excited to receive this cat house and put it together. Five hours later, missing about 20 screws, along with two ledge supports and the middle roof piece not cut/beveled properly so it would not fit into place, the cat house is finished. The hammock could fit a kitten. It's held in place by four eye hooks that screw into the thin side walls. There's a reason on the website that the inside of the cat house is not fully shown. There are not three levels. There is the bottom which is slatted and not a solid wood floor. There is a small ledge in which an adult small cat curled up cannot fit on. There is the teeniest ledge above the second ledge in which a full grown adult cat would not be able to sit on. Then there is a hammock that would fit a kitten. This house is not for a full grown adult cat. Also do not buy this home if you were looking for a cat house that could transition into fall/winter. The windows do not fully close. Your cat would freeze. Purchased this for outdoor use under an overhang. Very disappointed that it was missing integral pieces and that it is false advertising as a three level cat house. The style is cute. Also, it appears to be painted, but not sealed with any type of sealant. So if you are going to put it outside, since it is an outdoor cat house, you would have to seal the paint with some type of poly product. I debated building a third floor for inside the cat house but have spent so much time on it. Do not want to spend any more time/money to make it usable.

the wood and the entire structure is all made out of cedar! this is very high quality and very unexpected! I am over 50 and I put this entire thing together by myself! I found the instructions to be pretty easy because most of it was already assembled and there were pilot holes drilled for everything. the only leftover hardware I had was one screw! but better one thing than nothing left over at all. the roofing tile that it comes with was fantastic I feel like I'm going to be using this for many years to come. I already have an outdoor heat pad that I will be using during the winter. this feels like this little structure will be really easy to shore up and insulate further if I need to as well.
