A: Confusingly, just to OPEN the door at any time, you CANNOT simply push the bottom latch button (as in older models). You first have to press a button marked "DOOR OPEN". Ugh

Quality microwave, solid performer
Cooks fast and evenly. Doesn't take up a lot of counterspce, but has a good sized interior and 13.4" turntable. Other reviews mentioned the child-proof lock. The instructions to turn off that feature are right on the door. It's easy and you only have to do once. IDK what their problem was (reading, maybe?). The only thing I'd change about this microwave is to have a back-lit panel. But at the price ($169) it's still quite a bargain.

Hard to opetate.
While the microwave is highly rated and seems to be very powerful, it does not have some of the basic quick instructions are terrible goes into great detail for functions. Nobody ever uses, bit doesnot explain the simple ones.

Refund refused
I ordered this using the app. Why? We needed a new the old one caught fire. Panicked I ordered this one, the last one only to find out after Target didn't have it. You'd think Target would give me my money back, they didn't. Of course this is the first in a series of complaints until I get my money back I don't have money to give away because Target wants to steal. Target didn't have the microwave, canceled the order and went as far as to give me alternative options. I opted for a refund and Target refused.

First you would need to press on the Door open button on the control panel and only afterwards on the mechanical button to open the door. If you wish to deactivate the child-lock safety system, we recommend pressing these buttons one after the other: please press Turbo Defrost, then Timer / Clock and then Popcorn. Now the door should open only using the mechanical button. We hope this helps! - F

Defective Microwave
My old Sharp microwave from 2008 finally had to be replaced and we decided to purchase this Inverter Microwave. I was excited about all the features on the new microwaves and I loved the style of this one. Unforunately, I received a defective one. We couldn't get it to cook frozen vegatables or potatoes. I tried sensor as well as timed cooking and the food would not get hot. At times I would set it for 2 minutes and it would just stop dead after 20 seconds - no beeps or anything. After 9 days I gave up and returned the microwave. I purchased a more expensive GE machine and have been very happy with it. Target made the return experience very easy.

A Winner! Love the Fast, Even Heating!
Wow, what a difference . . . no more cold spots! Our last microwave was old and working well BUT . . . Panasonic tech is a game changer. I no longer have to reheat leftovers 2 or 3 times to get it heated evenly, so the inside isn't cold and the edges aren't overcooked. We also have been experimenting with the Sensor so it will cook to just the right level. We use it for everything from reheating our morning coffee to cooking dinner! :) really easy to use with intuitive buttons. Also easy to clean. So glad we chose this!!!!

Love this microwave!

The price for the quality was amazing, I don't understand the gripes with the reviews about the child lock mechanism I haven't had any issues with it whatsoever. The best microwave I've ever bought at this price point, all other microwaves that I was looking up with inverter technology costed almost twice as much. This was an extremely good buy in my opinion

I know a lot of the reviews had issues with the child lock. Fortunately, I do not need this feature so I just disabled it from the start and have had no issues. I love the fact that the interior light turns off shortly after opening the microwave and leaving it open. I like to air out the microwave right after I heat something up so having a light that shuts off is perfect for me. I know most people won't care about this but it was a really big plus for me.
