submitted byDaniel B - 2 months agoA: YES!!! this microwave does in fact have a mute function. hold down the number 8 button until it beeps and that's how you turn it on and off. I am very surprised an expert doesn't know this but that's how most newer Cuisinart microwaves work.

Q: How do you open the door?
A: First push the “unlock” button. Then pull on the door on the right side that protrudes over the control panel. To deactivate safety locking, follow the cheat code on top of the microwave (press “7” then “9” then press & hold “unlock” for 3 seconds.
submitted byPk - 5 months agoA: Simply pull the door open if you have the child lock disabled, which I do. I'm not sure when these child locks became mandatory but I turned mine off according to the instructions which are placed on a sticker on top of the microwave. you do not have to wait for food to be done cooking to open the door, and just like any microwave, once the door is open the cooking process stops. it is incredibly easy to open, not difficult at all.

Q: Does this have a pull to open or a push button open
A: Pull to Open. it's a little difficult to see in the photos but the door design has a very large indentation on the side profile that works as a pull handle. it is a very sleek design and is not visible from the front. the door is very easy to open but shuts and locks securely. disable the child lock function to open much easier without having to enter the unlock sequence every time

Q: Where exactly is the push release button on the microwave to open the door?
A: the door does not require a button to open, you just pull the indented grip of the door itself. I do not have the child lock enabled, there is a function to turn that off. if you are asking how to unlock the child lock before opening the door, then there are instructions stickered onto the top of the microwave but the door itself will open without a button

Q: Is there silent mode?
A: YES!!! this microwave has a silent or mute function if you do not like hearing the beeps of every button you push to operate. if you hold down the "8" button for 3 seconds you will hear a beep indicating that you have turned off the sound. this is a great feature if you have little kids that are sleeping in the house or if you are more active in the night, such as having different work schedules while other people in your house are sleeping. overall, this microwave is very quiet and its operations for as powerful as it is and I hope you enjoy this microwave as much as I do.

Q: does the door have a handle?
A: this microwave does have a built-in handle. it's hard to see in the photos but a section of that front door slightly overlaps where you see the buttons. you are able to grab the entire door and pull it towards you to open. it is a very sleek design and function, so yes it does have a handle

Q: What is the model number? And how is the door opened?
A: the door is open by pulling the door indentation towards you. the door handle is not clearly visible but is built in on the side where the door meets the button panel. very easy door to open with little resistance but still closes very securely
