Pull shade back before storms.

I've had this 3 years now. Frame is strudy and lasted, not rusted. The poles on top attached to the shade are awful and wil come apart in heavy storns. Will also pool water and start to stretch it out. I started pulling it back and securing anytime I know it's going to rain. One time we weren't home and had bent poles from it coming apart and blowing. Definitely leave the shade pulled back all winter because of snow. Provides a good amount of shade. Shade will wear out after one year. Wish there was an easy replacement available.

Nice but a piece arrived broken

I am still in the process of putting it together. I have all the smaller pieces together, I just need to get a send person to put it up. I came to an issue, one of the pieces weren’t welded probably and now I’m trying to figure out how to fix it so I can finish putting it together. Other than that, I think it’s worth the price. In photo, top is what it’s supposed to be, bottom is the broken one. Holds the top piece.

Wish I had the answer to this question before I purchased.

Measure twice - buy once...that's my motto. Although this pergola says that it is 10X10, the coverage area is 8x8. The 10 ft part is the outermost "wings" on the ends of the top cross bars. I was worried that 10X10 would be too large for the deck, but it's now awkardly anchored in the center of it, with two feet of dead space on either side near the railings. It was super easy to put together, and it's really nice looking. It's not worth the trouble to box it back up and return it. I took one for the team y'all!
