A: The Omron 3 Series (BP7150) you mentioned does not include AFib screening or AFib-specific accuracy claims. It is clinically validated for general blood pressure measurement in adults, but it does not screen for or reliably measure blood pressure specifically in people with atrial fibrillation beyond general irregular heartbeat alerts. That means readings may be less reliable if you have AFib because irregular heart rhythms can distort oscillometric measurements. Omron makes other models with AFib screening technology that automatically check for atrial fibrillation during blood pressure measurement, and those have published validation showing high sensitivity and specificity for detecting AFib. If you have AFib and need accurate home readings, look for a model with built-in AFib screening and discuss the readings with your clinician for safe management.
A: Yes. You can use either arm with the Omron 3 Series Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor. Just make sure the cuff fits correctly on the upper arm you choose and keep the cuff at heart level for the most accurate reading, consistent with Omron’s instructions for upper arm placement

For larger arm sizes, you can use the OMRON Easy-Wrap ComFit Wide-Range Cuff (model HEM-FL31), which fits arms up to 17". This cuff is sold separately.
