Q: Does the chrome last long, or does it corrode after time?

A: I've had this dispenser for at least three years, it gets heavy use, and the chrome finish didn't start to degrade until a few months ago. I may it again because I like how unique it looks!

Clean the pump tops regularly and to clear them of clogged soap, take off the pump, immerse it in water, pump it several times until it runs clear, and then replace it.
submitted byzminmaryland - 4 years agoA: Love the look. Had 6 of these around the house for the past few years. All the dispensers have either turned green or some of the chrome started to chip off. I wish i could just replace and purchase new dispensers. The glasses are still in great condition.

Q: I've had to buy 2 of these because after a week it only put out little bubbles. Returned one, got the other & same thing. Have to rinse it every other use. It's like plastic tubing is taking in air. It's not usable! Don't know the fix..

A: I had the same problem.. after 6 months of fighting with it, I trashed it . Not worth it.

A: it is actually plastic painted chrome. after a few years of using this in our bathroom it is peeling and you can see that it is plastic.

I love the look of this soap dispenser don’t get me wrong, but after having it for only about 4/5 months it completely stopped working. I thought it was a problem due to soap build up but no matter what I do it will not pump soap. Despite its cute appearance it is totally not worth the money.

Broke quickly
most of the Threshold items I've bought have broken quickly. We bought the two bottle package for soap and lotion. They are really cute the the pump broke immediately. Target is our only home goods option. I'm driving one town over, to TJMaxx for items like this.

Yours will probably be the rule, not the exception
Man, I thought maybe all the other reviews of a malfunctioning pump were maybe a fluke, but I should have known better! Every time I use the pump, on its way up, not only does soap come out of the nozzle (where it’s supposed to) but it also brings a bunch of soap through the hole you push the pump into! I had this for less that a year and around 5 months I noticed this problem and it’s gotten worse and worse with time. Not anything you can do to fix it either, just soap buildup all over the place. Don’t buy!

They're cute but they are absolute trash. They clog, then stop working even after being cleaned. The silver colored area turns blueish green (like the color a cheap ring would leave on a finger.) I wanted to love these, they are so cute, but they're now sitting in our how completely useless.
