[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to love these Oakley Meta Transition glasses, but after using them for about a month, I think they're just kinda "meh." I'll start my review with what I like about them and end with what I dislike. First of all, I actually really like the clear glasses frame and shape. I think they look good on my face, and I believe they would compliment other face shapes as well. Additionally, they're the perfect weight to where they don't feel super fragile or like a brick on your face. Setup for the glasses and app was very straightforward and easy. The sound quality was higher than I expected so I was pleasantly surprised when I took them outside on runs. However, once I took these glasses outside, that's when I discovered my dislikes. The transition lenses are theoretically cool but practically still need work. The speed at which the lenses darken is way too slow and not dark enough for my taste. Additionally, when I hop in the car to run errands, the glasses don't darken at all leaving me with the full blaze of the sun in my eyes while I drive. Also, I found that once my nose starts to sweat, the glasses continually slip down my nose (regardless of the non-slip material on the nose bridge of the frames) on runs, which leads to me constantly pushing them back up my nose. This became very irritating because I would end up pressing the control buttons on the side of the frames so I was constantly either pausing my music or turning the volume up/down. Eventually, I gave up on the idea that these glasses would replace my ear buds and non-smart sunglasses on my runs, which is disappointing. Even though I'm kinda "meh" about these glasses, I still find myself putting them on when I don't feel like wearing ear buds as I clean or do other chores around the house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Oakley/Meta HSTN Sunglasses are absolutely amazing. I gifted these to my brother for Christmas & he was really pleased with them. He & his family are in Germany for 5 years & they’ve used the opportunity to travel all over. Paris, Greece, Seychelles, Netherlands, they’re always going on an adventure & these are perfect for him. Meta AI can translate a menu in real time, identify wildlife, plants, give directions. The hands free camera & Meta AI are perfect. I included a video that he took with the glasses, sprinting my dog down the beach, the mic even picks up his feet slapping the sand! I’m leaving the sound because of his commentary “we’re running, we’re running”😂. He’s straight up sprinting & the video is stable. The picture of the playground is also taken with the glasses. The speakers are amazing, they play crisp clear music/podcasts/calls/etc. without being heard by the person sitting next to you. It’s wild. The included case is the charger. The transition lenses work well, I really want to get a pair with my prescription lenses next.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m new to using Meta glasses, and these were super easy to use with the app. I loved how quickly the images and videos transferred—it was fast and seamless. The Meta Oakley glasses look great, feel comfortable to wear, and the sound quality is solid. Picture and video quality is better than some other gadget cameras I’ve used but it doesn’t shoot in 4k. Overall, they’ve been a fun and convenient addition, and I’d definitely recommend them.

It’s pretty sturdy and the nose base of the glasses fits really well. The lens are sleek and clean and fits the shape of my face nicely. The only downfall is that it doesn’t provide much options as an iPhone user for calling or texting. Some of the functionally is limited. However, it will be useful for filming food videos.

The glasses are comfortable to wear and also stylish. The transition aspect of the lenses are also great for both indoor and outdoor for a multipurpose eye protection. The glasses are Ai technology so with an ease of "hey meta" you are able to ask any question and the technology searches the internet for the answer. Hey Meta, what is the weather outside currently was a huge help when getting my kids ready for school. These glasses are a hit with everyone in our home!

The video quality is clear, and the audio picks up voices well without a lot of background noise. I like how simple it is to start and stop recordings, making it convenient for hands-free moments. They feel comfortable, look like regular glasses, and don’t draw attention, which makes the recording capability even more practical. They have more weight than normal glasses, but are comfortable! The transitions work great when outside.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are truly amazing. It wouldn’t let me upload the video I took with them on so I uploaded a photo I took with them on instead. The photo is just as good as anything I took on my phone. I really like the clear ones because they pretty much look like normal glasses you can barely tell the camera is there. They are pretty comfortable I have a petite face so they are a tad big but it doesn’t bother me. They are really easy to keep in the case and I’m not worried about them falling out. It’s so cool how they can translate in real time tell you what you’re looking at snap photos take videos pretty much tell you facts about what you’re looking at anything you need you can do. Obviously with these you need social media so that’s the only thing to be aware of but not a deal breaker for me. The sunglasses feature works really well they transition seamlessly. It takes a minute to go back to the glasses but that’s to be expected. Highly recommend these

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Where do I start, these glasses from Oakley are just so amazing. I love being outdoors and love to climb, run, sailing, bike riding and just being active. In the past I have used a different recording device to capture my adventures but it has not always worked out as planned and could be uncomfortable to wear. With these glasses I can see exactly what I am filming and the video quality is perfectly crisp. The design of the glasses might not be my first choice, because I unfortunately have quite a big head but the glasses still fit comfortably and do not move around. The polarized lens catches the colors beautifully and the clear to sun transition glasses work well. I think one of my favorite features other than the camera is the option to listen to your playlist hands free through your glasses. The sound is clear and clean. The AI feature can be helpful as well but as all AI it has room to grow. Also very important the battery life is enough to get me through a full day of activities. I am also using the picture option a lot. I can make pictures by just using word commands. No more fumbling with a phone or small camera buttons. This is definitely my favorite new toy that is a must for all my outside activities now.

These make life very hands free (I am not adjusting my earbuds over and over again). Although Meta is still learning and adapting to apps it is very fun to use and look up what I’m looking at, ask questions as well as the translation feature. The durable, protective charging case is very useful but the glasses are a little tight around my temples. These glasses I received as a free sample and they are 1000% worth it. The glasses look really cool and high tech. They fit very well! I was surprised how easy these were to use and learn how to use, and also how quickly I got used to using them. I find these great for walks- easy to snap a picture or video of something you see without taking out your phone. Listening to music with these on is great the sound quality is excellent. Overall, I’m very impressed with this. I can’t recommend them enough!

The camera and sound quality were surprisingly good, but there are not great sunglasses. The styling is a bit bulky and rigid which makes them uncomfortable only after a short while of wearing them. I have seen that some will use different methods to try and get a good fit, but that's shouldn't be necessary at this price point.

I have listened to audio books, taken pictures and videos, texted friends, asked Meta a million questions with or without having my view in front of me be included in the question, and have received just as many great answers! I get complements and interest from people wherever I go because these Oakley Meta HSTN glasses are so fun and just the coolest!! They also double as sunglasses because they have transition lenses. So far they've been quite durable, no breaks or cracks and that's with my 3 year old and 6 year old having played with them several times. It also worked great for the kids! They absolutely love taking pictures and asking a ton of questions! I will use these for many years to come!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Boy are these glasses so much fun. I absolutely love that. They are clear and you can see the inner working mechanics of the glasses. They are very sleek. They are durable and they aren’t too heavy so they’re very comfortable when wearing you almost can’t even notice that you’re wearing them. They fit very nice and they don’t need to be adjusted which is something that I appreciate and I absolutely believe that this is a new piece of technology that is great for anybody that loves documenting their life, blogging, taking pictures and seeing the world.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are definitely a high quality item so I want to try and hit on each part of them. Unboxing- I definitely had a good impression of these glasses from the get go just due to the unboxing experience. The packaging is high quality and they didn’t skimp out on materials here. I know that’s isn’t a hugely important thing, but it does set the tone when first experiencing the item. They feel feel high quality just due to this. The case is sleek and pretty easy to plug the glasses in to. For getting them out, I’ve found pulling on both sides at the connection between the ear pieces and front of frames to be best. Feel- overall the glasses sit comfortably on my face. Only once did I start to feel discomfort on the sides of my face like the frames were squeezing too tight. This was after about an hour of wearing and the first time I wore that long, so hopefully they were just adjusting and that won’t happen again. I’m personally glad they fit more snug though as you don’t want to have to worry about them falling off when being active. These feel secure. They do get a little bouncy when running sprints, but honestly everything does and the bounce was minimal. Look- these definitely aren’t like any glasses/sunglasses I’ve ever owned. They are thick, and that’s the only part that’s been hard to get used to. I would prefer a thinner look especially on the side pieces. But I get that with the technology, that’s just the size it has to be. It’s my first time using transition lenses and it’s definitely cool to be able to use the same pair of glasses for both my indoor wear and outdoor. Functionality- I mean I won’t lie, my mind was blown with being able to play music through these and those around me not being disturbed. It’s not true bone conduction where the noise is zero for others, but I can play things at a decent level and those around me say they don’t hear. I haven’t used the “hey meta” feature to ask questions a ton, but it definitely feels fancy knowing it is there and shocking how well it responds to even off the wall questions. I’m still getting used to using the glasses to connect with my garmin during training/activities, but it’s especially useful for me with biking or things where looking down to my watch isn’t always safe of convenient. The camera quality is shockingly good and having that POV look is so cool to me! I did a little recording of me decorating my Christmas tree (an activity I love) and watching it back just puts you right back in that moment since you can see your hands out ahead of you like you’re really looking back through your eyes. For content creators, I think these glasses would bring a lot of opportunities from things like recording cooking to just every day activities that are hard to catch on camera on your phone. My only complaint is that I still haven’t figured out a way to play music while recording a video. I’ve even tried putting my AirPods in synced to my phone to play music but the second I hit record on the glasses, the music stops. That may not be a big deal to everyone but it’s been annoying when I want to record a segment of my training but want to still keep the vibes going with my music. So hopefully future software upgrades improve that.

I would like that the transition glasses become to be strong grey ones, but about the rest, I just can say that it does perfect.

And I have so much to say but I’ll try to keep it condensed because who wants to read paragraphs and paragraphs of reviews these days: Pros- Transitional and antiglare lenses Lightweight Built in microphone I also love the convenience of taking photos and videos- it’s wild! Cons- The glasses not waterproof or water-resistant. So I wouldn’t recommend wearing these on the water or on a boat. Maybe this could be something to consider in newer models. Although the cameras light up when taking pictures or recording, it might make people uncomfortable while wearing this in public. Privacy considerations… Overall, I’m amazed and impressed with technology these days!

Very useful piece of equipment as have built in speakers etc so very good. Nice clear lens and comfortable fit. Would prefer black over clear as clear shows all the mechanics inside. Can’t comment anymore as haven’t used fully yet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Meta HSTN Oakley glasses are so cool! The tradition lenses have to be the best I’ve seen on glasses. I’m definitely going to be purchasing prescription lenses for them. My favorite feature has to be the speakers with haptic audio. It’s so convenient to be able to run outside without worrying about earbuds falling out. The audio quality is amazing! It’s a lot of fun recording walks through the trails with my little girls! They have a blast being able to watch themselves adventure and I get to be hands free while recording! They are not exactly inconspicuous, so I feel a little self conscious and invasive wearing them in public, even if I’m not recording but I assume I’m given the benefit of the doubt respecting others privacy. Overall, I’m so pleased with these glasses!
