Amazing container garden, questionable packaging?
I have several earth box and other similar brand container boxes and I use earthbox for imdoor gardening. I consider this to be the brand name for this type of product.Earth box is so simple to set up and be successful no matter your skill set! I always have great harvest, and because my soil uses organics 100%. I can reuse the soil without even having to till it, time after time.If you want to use it as a no till solution, make sure to start with an organic mix using, no chemical nutrients and definitely add some red wigglers (worms) to keep the biology healthy. I make sure to feed my worms mostly by chopping up any leafs that I trim and just putting them on top of the soil.My most recent order for earth box was received just a few days ago and unfortunately, the fertilizer bags had been opened and completely spilled out. For the price and quality of the product, I would really suggest you look at your packaging. This is why I deducted a star.

Turns brown thumbs into green!
AMAZING results. Setup was fun and provided everything but the potting mix and seeds. I'd started Black-eyed Susan seeds in peat pots indoors, then transferred the 10 best to the prepared Earth Box. In planning, I'd bought and installed a wrought iron trellis, then positioned the prepared Earth Box in front. I stuck little stakes in next to each plant, then tied green twine from each to ascending parts of the trellis. Prior to this, I'd failed every planting I'd ever done. Results speak for themselves.

GREAT PLANTER
These are the most amazing efficient planters.. we tried 'smart pots' and the likes but these work far better and they can be moved to sunny spots as they are on wheels. Our only sunny space is our driveway and these (we have four now) are fantastic.

A bit pricey
These things are fantastic. Love the sturdiness and how well my plants grow but the price is a bit much for what you get. I would have a dozen if they were cheaper.

Best present ever for patio tomato gardeners
We've been buying Earthboxes for many years. They've really upped their game with this one. The trellis netting is a little tricky for some, but otherwise assembly is straightforward and the wheels and roll ability awesome.

Great for plants that can't be in the soil
We had to move our tomatoes out of the soil because of tomato blight. It also affected the eggplant & peppers because they are in the nightshade family as well. They are in a small greenhouse, only way we can grow them now.

I want to buy American!
The product came in a box all taped and inside another box. The inner box had white powder oozing out. Inside the box the white powder was all over the planter pieces. It was the Dolomite. I figured oh well I will just buy some . I can't find it, so I would subititute. I dont know what is a sub for dolomite. I put together the container and now i see the mulch cover is missing! Arrrgh. So much for American products.The reason I didn't send back is because it took a couple weeks to arrive and I wanted to start planting

Bring on the Tomatoes!
This item was recommended by a friend who has used the Earth Boxes previously. I have no place with adequate sun in my yard but was able to place the boxes on the roof of my patio deck. Especially like the feature that there is controlled watering so as not to over water. Nutrients included with the box and easy directions as to assembly. Awaiting a summer filled with tomatoes seeing healthy growth of the plants and buds that are appearing. Holds two seedlings to not over crowd.

Peppers not growing
I am very disappointed with the EarthBox. I planted 5 peppers, and they are all lagging in comparison to peppers that I planted directly in the garden. I grew all of the peppers from seed, so I am certain the problem is not with the plants themselves. The problem seems to be that peppers prefer to DRY OUT between watering, and that cannot happen in the EarthBox. Bottom line: the EarthBox is not suitable for all crops. I cannot easily return the EarthBox, so this is now a very expensive gardening mistake.
