I actually dont own a heat protection spray at the moment, so I was happy to review this! The first thing that caught my eye was the bI pottle! It just has that high quality look to it! Plus it's pink! The bottle has a spray nozzle with a cap cover for storage... The Nexxus spray has up to 450 degree heat protection, a 72 hour humidity shield, and 48 hour frizz control! It can be used on wet OR dry hair, and can be sprayed from root to tip! This spray also has StyleProtect technology to help shield hair from damage! I really like the scent that the spray has! It's just right, and makes my hair smell really good! I used this on my towel dried hair after a shower. I spritzed it evenly all over my hair, and then combed it through before blow drying it. The spray is weightless, and doesn't weigh down my hair! It made my hair so much easier to brush, and detangled my hair with ease! My hair is long, straight, bleached, and on the thin side for reference... I am so use to hair products making my hair feel heavy or oily... & even after spraying a good amount, it still did not make my hair greasy or sticky! One of the best things about the spray is it helped to dry my hair SO much quicker than usual! So it basically cut down my blow drying time by a lot! Overall, I really liked how it made my hair much more manageable. It made my hair look healthier and shinier too! One tiny thing is I feel like this spray doesnt really make hair as soft as some other products, but it makes up for it in all the other ways! Also, my hair looked and felt great after I blow dried it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This isn’t a good product for my fine, color treated, highlighted, porous hair. it made my hair hard, dry and frizzy. The second ingredient is mineral oil, which is an occlusive. Occlusive oils aren’t good for fine, porous hair. This product may be okay for someone with heavier textured hair or hair that hasn’t been bleached but I think there are better leave ins on the market than this. It's not too heavily scented that is over powering. It did seem to help with detangling my hair after spraying it several times all over and throughout my hair and left my hair feeling soft. I also tried a couple sprays of the Nexxus Prep & Protect Heat Defense Spray on my dry hair, but for me as an African American with a relaxer on my hair it left my hair too wet to style right after applying the product.
