Q: Is the texture on this table rough or smooth? Also would you call it a more brown color than a red? Brown as in closer to a Driftwood color?

A: It is a rich warm caramel brown. Not red but definitely not a grayish driftwood color.

A: We would recommend covering the table with an outdoor furniture cover when not in use to limit excessive UV exposure.

A: This expands by inserting the foldable leaflet. There are metal latches to keep everything in place. There are images in the assembly guide which may be requested by customer support.

A: Your table should have included, some spare hardware in the event that a piece or two became separated. You can use any spare washers to further tighten any gaps and achieve a tighter connection.

This table is an amazing value for the look, size and features. I love that it can be expanded. It is beautiful and sturdy. I wanted to review because we had to have the first one replaced after the wood split from being in the rain only a couple of days. The care instructions say that to prolong the life of the table it should not be exposed to prolonged periods of rain, but as an outdoor piece of furniture it shouldn’t crack just from being wet a couple of days. I am going to buy a cover for the new one sent to hopefully ensure it lasts for years to come.
