Natural Pet Coffee Wood Dog Chew Stick

I would agree with everyone else. The bone breaks down into small pieces and shards could be very dangerous or deadly! But my dog loved it . Is it worth the money or a trip to ER or worse I would say NO!!

We have a chewer, she tears everything apart. This was an impulse buy and didn’t think much of it but she goes and get it from her basket every day and chews it. It’s sturdy, and doesn’t splinter.

My dog loves this. I’ve had no issues with splintering like others have described.

Doesn’t seem safe especially when you’re not watching while the pet plays with it. Our girl broke it immediately and there was wood shards all over the carpet that were sharp.

This chew is not safe for toys and is a huge safety hazard for dogs. Within less than a minute of chewing on this, the chew splintered and broke into a large piece. My dog swallowed it before I could get the broken piece out of his mouth. I ended up having to take my dog to the emergency vet. Please do not purchase this chew toy!!!!!

Decent product, comes off in shavings not shards for my dog who works on one end until it's wet enough to get any debris at all. I feel it is a safe alternative for my doggy who is a small enough breed (under 30lbs) and is supervised whilst chewing. As with any bone or chew, observe with caution to avoid cracked teeth or ingested objects!

We thought it was a good option for our dogs who have high anxiety. Our dogs are yorkipoos, so they don't take huge bites, they use it to gnaw on.

Hard no. Never again. First, I had no idea this would literally fall apart like chewing a stick from a tree. We had wood shards everywhere within 15 minutes of my two dogs chewing on them. I took them away. Second, within 20 minutes of that, one of my dogs threw up all the tiny pieces of wood from the bone. I felt horrible about giving her it. It felt solid in the store so I didn’t think it would break up like a stick, figured more that it was just solid to chew on. I have two golden retrievers and while they had a blast chewing on these, I’ll never buy them again and won’t let them have the rest of it.

Immediately came to review this and saw everyone else having the same problem. You’d be better off with a stick from your yard. Splinters right away and leaves a mess too.

Not the first wood chew I've purchased, but it is the first one that splintered badly after less than an hour. They usually last multiple weeks as the dogs gnaw them down, but this one splintered into pieces quickly. Not worth the money or risk to the dogs.

Yikes! Splinters of various sizes and bleeding from dog's mouth within 5 minutes.

I would leave 0 stars if I could. Dangerous and left a big mess of sharp wood splinters. I had to throw this toy away. What a waste of money!

Waste of money. I just threw $10 in trash. Wood pieces every where and it chokes my dog as well.

Like the other reviews state, there were wood chips and fragments everywhere that I initially did not notice. As soon as I noticed I had to throw the bone away. Those sharp wood fragments can lead to splinters in dog’s mouth and irritation of the stomach lining if swallowed. Please consider something else.

Our dogs are pretty strong chewers. These sticks splinter off into sharp shards. I didn’t notice until I found our human baby chewing on a piece that had broken off. I’d say these are extremely unsafe for not only your dogs, but any little ones who also put stuff in their mouths. A complete waste of money and honestly should probably be recalled.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! I tend to trust that everything Target sells is a quality product. I should have checked the reviews before buying. I have this to my 4 month old Golden. I picked up the fragments that were on the floor, only to find that they are indeed sharp! If swallowed, these sharp pieces can pierce their throat and everything on the way down. I have never returned a “used” product before, but I certainly returning this one. This deserves 0 stars and a recall.

Do NOT buy this. Within one day, the fragments already were all over the floor. These are terrible and absolutely not safe for pets. Please stick with benebones. I can’t imagine if a super chewer had this.
