Nice kit
My 7 year old was delighted to get this for Christmas. He loves the different kinds of rocks, etc. He also loves the polished stones that came with. The guide is helpful and he has had a good time with it.

Great learning tool!

wonderful
i got it just for the crystals tbh. i love it. it included blue calcite, adventurine, red jasper, clear quartz, blue quartz, rose quartz, etc. Along with a lotttt of tiny baby crystals.

Bought for my 30 year old husband. And myself.
I don’t care how old you are, geodes and fossils will always be cool. No meteorite in ours so that was a bummer. However an exorbitant amount of fossils that weren’t in the book and even more stones/minerals/gems that we’ve yet to identify make up for it. Almost.

Pretty stones/ cracked fossils
I love the stones that came with it! Unfortunately I wish it has more support in the box because the fossil container was cracked and the fossils was broke and the stones was scratched up as well.

Worth every penny
This was absolutely worth every penny! My 7 year old son and I had so much fun organizing and identifying all the stones and fossils and split them between the two of us. The quality time alone was worth the money let alone the worth of all the stones you get! Thank you!

Kids love gems
My son loves rocks and gems so this was great for him. There was a lot of grit and dust inside the box upon opening despite all of the objects being on bags. I bought this on sale, would likely not pay full price for it.

Perfect gift for 7-y-o!
My little dude loved this so much. He made comments like: "Mom, this is the best gift ever, why didn't we crack it open sooner?!" A fun way to teach the kiddos something without them realizing they're learning. ;)

Fossils and Rocks!
This is an AMAZING kit for kids!!!!! Upon opening you have a nice guide book for al the stones and fossils that are included in the entire kit, with descriptions and information about them. My son and niece (Ages 9 & 6) LOVED IT! Using the magnifying glass included, we were able to explore all the different fossils from gastropods to ammonites, along with using different geodes that were both exciting to break open and view the crystal formation inside. Each part of the kit came has its own bag, allowing for you to view and explore each piece carefully. The larger stones and rock formations were fun to view and see using the magnifying glass and feel as both kids explored and wondered with minimal help from an adult. The Geodes do require adult help to break open, but otherwise the age rating is pretty spot on (being 8+, but younger can do it with adult help and supervision). This is a MUST HAVE kit for any science and rock loving child as it has it all!!

Soo many pieces!
My son is 10 years old and loves to learn about science so this kit has been great for him! There are over 200 genuine specimens to explore in this kit! The booklet included describes each specimen with pictures so you can easily find which one it is. Some of the specimens are shark teeth, polished stones, broken geodes and soo much more! They all come in a variety of sizes and colors. There is a magnify glass included to view the specimens up close. Each stone is colorful and unique in its own way. Some of the stones are smooth and others are rough depending on what specimen you are looking at. The fossils are rough allowing you to feel each textured line it has. There is also a small carrying case included to hold the magnifying glass or any special stones. My son has learned so much about rocks, minerals and fossils from just this kit! This is a great hands one and up close kit for any child that loves to learn about science and the facts about rocks, minerals and fossils!

Our family loves the wide variety of rocks and specimens in this set. The chart and the book make identifying the samples easy. It would make a great birthday gift! One downside: our box did not come with meteorite; all other example specimens in the book were included. Also one caution: the box was slightly gritty on the outside from the rock dust so it scratched the table upon which I placed it.

Awesome kit!
My 4 year old son is totally into rocks and gems right now. This kit was a huge hit for him. It came with 4 bags of varied types of stones and a little box with some fossil teeth in it. It also contained a little book and chart to help identify the stones and a little magnifying glass. One of the bags contained geodes that you break open to see the growth inside. It's a great kit if you have a little explorer like mine who gets excited about rocks and gems of any type. There are tons of different colors, shapes, textures inside of this kit. This will be something we pull out over and over to play with!
