Cheap and breaks
Cheap, breakable plastic. The pieces will not stay connected to the magnets. Several pieces broke immediately. Save money and buy a different product.

It’s “meh”
I handed the package to my kids and asked them to figure it out and of course they didn’t fully read the directions and didn’t realize it was meant for a magnetic surface so there was some confusion at first. Once we figured it out, it was good to go. It did keep my stepson occupied for quite a while and was fun to watch his brain work and him focus on something other than his phone ;) Not sure it’s something I would recommend since it has to be stuck to your fridge and then you have marbles rolling around the kitchen and kids under your feet as you’re trying to cook dinner.

Guidebook makes it worth it, not for the easily frustrated
Be aware that the actual pieces are plastic and need to be put together just right. Do not buy this for someone with a low threshold for frustration. That being said, my 9 year old has played with this every day for a month straight. The guide book that comes with it makes it worth it! It has great suggestions for different ways to play and does an amazing job of introducing basic engineering concepts. I love anything that promotes problem solving and trial and error thinking.

Fun Activity
I thought this would be great for my kids to play with on our doors and keep the busy for a little. At first, they were frustrated thinking it would be something easy and you just put it together. After some huffs and puffs (from the kids), and reading the directions they were able to understand how it worked. They loved it and had a blast. I actually didn't help them, just guided them if they needed it. My children's ages are 10, 7, and 5. It kept them all busy for a good while. The only thing I wish is maybe a few more track pieces that could go in this kit to make it longer. I do love that it comes with a bag so I can discard the box. This is a great activity that is off the floor and table and really makes kids think about how to make it work.

Marble run
The marble run is fun, and I like how it is a magnetic. However, it is pretty flimsy. In the cup for the marbles to drop into, there is no built in bottom. First time playing with it, we lost at least 1 marble because of that. Overall, it helps my son create a marble run in a way that works together, and promotes creativity.

Awesome Kit!
My 4 and 8 year old sons loved playing with this kit. While I felt the plastic could have been a bit sturdier the magnets hold very well. There’s enough pieces in the kit to create several little obstacle courses with neat twists and bends. My sons especially liked the pieces that spin and kind of fling the marble. There are quite a few marbles too which is nice in the case you lose a few or have multiple kids playing. There is a nice quality booklet that comes with the set that not only describes the pieces but also has a few science based explanations of the obstacles. I really appreciated that. This kit will get your kids to think and definitely will hold their interest. I plan to get the larger kit for Christmas.

I received the NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC Magnetic Marble Run and my son had not moved from the table in hours. He loves to build things and this has kept him busy. This is the most awesomest toy. This is definitely a winner. I would recommend this to moms who have kids that love to build things.

So Much Fun!
This set is so fun! My nine year old daughter instantly made use of it. She stayed up well past her bedtime exploring different configurations. I may need to get more marbles (or clean out under my refrigerator). Those things roll all over the place.
