Motorola 5" Wifi HD Video Baby Monitor w/PTZ - PIP1510Connect

I have camera connection issues out of the box. The video quality is horrendous. This camera package is why overpriced off the quality that it delivers. I tested one day and I decided to return it. I can get better image and connection from a camera for a fraction of the cost. Very disappointed with this camera. I wished it had delivered because it looked very cute.

I would not recommend this camera. Although the camera itself produces clear images and works easy, it has major issues. Our first camera dropped out and would disconnect for 15-30seconds. It also made a chirping noise on one of the cameras, we have two set up, consistently. We reached out to the company and they sent us an entirely new set up. The same thing ended up occurring on the new set as well. The new cameras drop out briefly after being on for about 30 min and the chirping lasts longer on the new cameras after being on for about an hour. For the price, I would look into a different company or product.

It works well, but it glitches and the company is lacking in customer service. The sound indicator light on the monitor cannot be turned off, so it’s super bright and disruptive when sleeping with it next to your bed. I covered it with a bunch of tape, but it is still visible. And when the screen is in sleep mode, it regularly comes on for like half a second shining bright light and then turns off again. So annoying. I reached out to customer service, but never got a response. But other than that it works great 😄

This monitor was highly rated so I added it to my registry. I haven’t downloaded the app yet, but I’m afraid to as most reviews say the app doesn’t work. With the screen, I like that you can unplug it and become mobile. I also like you can move the camera and zoom in. The audio constantly cuts in and out. Baby will be crying but the display constantly cuts in and out. The camera constantly disconnects from the monitor display and beeps loudly. It does this at least three times daily/nightly. I would definitely NOT recommend this baby monitor system. Lots of reviews were collected as part as a promotion (which is disclosed) but they do not truly represent the actual product. At this price point, I expected a much better product.

This comes with everything need to install it & it was easier to install than I'd first thought. I works great & we love it. We especially love the audio options & that you can take pics & video with it. With the make your own audio we did white noise to help with sleeping. We play audio books for him & take cute videos of it. It cut out the need for multiple products. I can't sat enough good things. Give it a try!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried several monitors over the years and this Motorola monitor is definitely better than most. I like that it has the capability of connecting to the app. Connecting it has been pretty easy though at times I have noticed a lag. It is a great feature to be able to connect to it when I am not home or don't have the monitor close by. The video during the day is very clear. The nighttime video is good but not as clear as I would like. I also like that the camera can be mounted to the wall and you have the ability to move it to se the whole room. The speaker and microphone is great because it allows you to talk to your baby as well as hear them. Overall I am happy with this monitor. The connection and lag issues can be frustrating but all of the other features are great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used this video monitor for a couple weeks now. I love how you can move the camera around and are able to zoom in. I do wish there were more zoom capabilities on the monitor screen it comes with but you are able to zoom in a little more on the app. The app is a huge plus! When turning on the monitor, it comes on very quickly. Other monitors I've tried take a while and sometimes have issues connecting but haven't had any issues with that so far. I did receive this product for free to review but I would definitely recommend it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this monitor for free in exchange for providing a review. The picture quality is very good. Both of my babysitters have made a comment that this monitor is clearer than the one we were using before. A large portion of the room is visible, which is really nice. I do wish there were 3 zoom levels; the current zoom isn't as close as I would like it. The sound is clear, but even at max volume it isn't very loud. In a quiet house I haven't had any issues, but if there was a lot of noise, I'm not sure that I would be able to hear well, even at the highest setting. I really love that there is an app option! It is nice being able to peek in using my phone when I am away. I have even talked to my baby from work to help calm her. The parent unit seems very sturdy, but a little bulky. It is still portable and easy to carry around the house. The biggest thing I dislike about this monitor is the light on the parent unit. There is a green light that is very bright. It illuminates my bedroom. It is bothersome enough that I would like to cover it up with a blanket or something, but then I am afraid it will make hearing difficult. Overall, I am happy with this monitor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my dad try this out for when my daughter naps over at his house. He takes care of her twice a week. He LOVES it. Before this, he just had one that transmitted sound. His favorite thing is that the camera can move where he needs it to move via a remote. It's easy to use, has a clear picture, and it gets the job done. I'm not sure why the reviews are so negative. My nanit doesn't even move the way this camera does. I'm pretty jealous of that.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have toddler twins so a reliable monitor is a must. I was gifted VTech monitors by not MIL and had constant issues with them. Cameras losing connection to the inernet, random beeping and constant resetting to name a few. Luckily, I was provided a free Motorola PIP1510 in exchange for an honest review. The Motorola screen is larger than the VTech so that is nice. The Motorola PIP1510 has the same level of picture clarity, or slightly better. I had no issues setting it up right out of the box. It has been reliable and has never disconnected. I am only using one camera but the pan, tilt, and zoom have been great. The pan can sometimes be a little laggy, but not any worse the the other company. The two way talk has been a great feature and hasn't been too loud of jarring for the babies. I've been able to hear any instances of babbling or crying. The green light from the monitor is very bright and I am a light sleeper, so I just flip it away from me at night when necessary. Overall, I like the Motorola PIP1510. I plan to get a second camera and will continue to use the Motorola monitor over the other brand.

For a new mom this has been a Godsend as it gives me peace of mind as I have to leave my baby with a sitter once I returned to work. The screen is nice and big so you can sit it on the table and still see clear without picking it up. 2. The camera is sooo cute! It looks like a blinking robot!! Ok so features I LOVE 1. I can clearly talk to the other person. ( I tested a lot of this out with my older child for feedback) I mainly used this to monitor my new cat and the kitchen table so I could really test a few things. 2. It alerts to movement pretty easy on the app even when away from home. The con here is it's sooo sensitive it picked up a flashing light on the stove and just kept saying there was movement even on the lowest setting to the point I turned off notifications. 3. Night vision is super cool, I have black cats and could easily see my cat sleeping on the table while I was at work. 4. Using the app or the handheld console you can move the camera 180 degrees making it really easy to look around the room for the kiddo using in the corner if you have it angled right 5. You can mount it from the ceiling or wall for a even better room view ( I did not do this) 6. The room temp monitor is really cool! I accidently left this where the sun was on the back of it. It sent me alerts quick! you can set the temp threshold to whatever you need it to be. 7. You can record your voice to soothe your kiddo , play light music, snap screen shots and video, 8. The app lets you do almost everything the handheld does including a baby journal to record feedings, when they sleep etc. in short I've had a video monitor for years and this one has exceeded every expectation and more. I would 100% have bought this had I been in the market or even as a gift.

A few reasons why I prefer this monitor: -You can use the provided parent monitor or you can view on the app -No clicking noise or light on the camera like I've experienced with other monitors -Extremely easy instal / setup (including the app setup) also has a long cord to make it easier to move around/ place high up on the wall -A good size for both the camera and the monitor -Ability to pan around the room as well as go up and down -Clear picture day or night -Clear two way communion through parent unit and through app -The app includes a journal for all your baby needs in one app, as well as a gallery, the room temperature and more -You can view more than one camera at a time The only thing I wish was better was it does take a minute for the stream to load on the app but works fine once it's going.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the modern and sleek design of this camera. The quality of the materials are pretty nice and seems pretty durable and made to last. The camera itself mounts to the wall and the mount is sturdy and doesn't fall off the wall with ease. The camera is audio sensitive and turns on when noise is detected, but doesn't go off with a sound machine which is great. The picture quality is just alright, but is a little better than ones ive had in the past. You can zoom in the camera 2x and the night vision turns off the the lights do automatically.

I love how the light on it is in the back of the camera. The lights in front of camera would wake up my baby every time. So this is a very big plus for us. It was very easy setup. I also like how you can link your phone as a camera too. It's perfect for date nights when the sitter is watching the kids and I can just take a peek anytime I want.

It works well as a basic monitor but not beyond that. It was kind of difficult to connect to the cellphone app but it worked eventually. The picture is pretty good but the sound could be improved.
