Motorola 5.0" Wi-Fi HD Motorized Video Baby Monitor- PIP1610 HD CONNECT

This camera never connects to the monitor. I could be standing 5 feet away from the camera and it won’t connect.

The camera quality is good! The display monitor is nice, and I like the kickstand. The menu and options are hard to figure out. The sound on the monitor goes in and out. My largest complaint is that it the display disconnects from the camera often, resulting in a loud beeping noise, sometimes in the middle of the night. When we initially turn it on to use, sometimes it doesn't connect to the camera right away either and we can't figure out any reason why. It's very random and we just keep turning it off and on until it connects. Looking for another baby monitor now. I wanted to love this one!

I like that you can use the monitor or the app. I dropped the monitor and something inside became loose! I can’t open the monitor to fix it…

Love this monitor. I’ve had this monitor for about a month now to use for my second baby. The monitor is very clear. I have a Motorola monitor from 2020 that is not as clear as this one. This one is very clear. I love the zoom option, I have this on actually all the time on my baby. Right now she’s so small that she fits in the entire frame of the monitor. I am relieved to look at her through this monitor and see her breathing. That’s how clear it is. Something that I wish was different, is the button to turn the monitor on and off, it is small. The monitor I have from 2020 has a bigger button, but this one is so small. When I wake up in the middle of the night to feed my baby, and exhausted, I have a hard time finding the button. That is my only small complaint. Other than that I love this monitor, it has a built in stand in the back so it’s always standing up. It’s worth every penny.

Do not buy this camera. We have had 3 replaced by warranty and they continue to break. It gets disconnected nearly everyday. The picture and sound quality is terrible. I wish we could just get our money back and start over.

This worked well for us at first, then started having connection issues which progressed until the parent unit completely disconnected and would not reconnect, ever. The price is too high for something that loses functionality after only a year of gentle use.

I loved it at first. But after not even 3 months the monitor itself broke. It won’t connect at all, I’ve tried resetting all parts. Now I can only use the app which I also love but is not practical if you want to use your phone or sleep.

Liked it at first. With new updates you have to subscribe now to see the alerts. Over ti.e thi gs also stopped working. The camera doesn't pick up sou d any more and at I e point within the first year the monitor stopped turning on. We did contact them and they replaced it. It has been a little over two years and other issues are occurring with it. One is the sound. Sometimes it doesn't even pick up motion. Not sure ifbits a software glitch or if the camera itself just isn't lasting. It has never been dropped, so I'm a little confused. Customer service was awesome. They reply quickly and supported adapter. O really wouldn't recommend if this is the issue. We loved it, but the subscription aspect just ruins it. I guess not all monitors gave historical videos, but that is why we bought this specifically.

This was a gift from our baby shower so we didn't open it until right before the baby came. When we took it out of the package the monitor made this weird clunking sound every time you moved it. The picture was still good and it worked alright for about a week. Then white lines started forming on the screen and now it is stuck in the on position where just the light is on but the screen is completely black and there is no sound. This is completely unreliable and not safe! I am so disappointed!

This thing never connects on the first try. Literally never. You have to try multiple times. Exactly what you wanna do when you put a baby finally to sleep. Even if it does connect, it will randomly lose connection and stop showing camera view. Which is usually scary and I run to the baby. The app is a nightmare. It never loads on your phone, neither the live cam or saved videos. Support is in China and doesn’t respond. THIS IS JUNK. DO NOT BUY.

My wife and I have had the Motorola PIP1610 HD for almost 4 months now. What attracted us to the PIP1610 was the abilty to pan with the camera from the unit, as well as connect our phones to the unit and use them as additional monitors. Pros: The camera is clear and sharp. It sounds great. Cons: The range is spotty at best. The monitor unit feels cheap and light. I have to be next to the camera when I turn on the monitor for it to connect, and even then its a 50-50 chance I just have to keep power cycling the monitor to get it to connect. The connection will also drop out for no reason, even when I am in the next room. I would not recommend this monitor, as you pay for something with nice extras but it only works sometimes.

Nice smart device gives alerts with motion. The monitor can tilt in different directions and has zoom function too. Its literally a saver for me.

I can watch my son while he sleeps and I'm at home in my office working or doing something around the house. The picture and quality is great. I love the automatic night vision, the tilt, and zoom. The connection is great and it actually reaches a good distance. I am very happy with this device and feel secure using it. I will continue using it in the future.

One great thing is that it you can connect it with an app on your phone which makes it easier when your hands are tidy. In comparison with the brand "infant optics* this one is better because you don't get the option to use your phone with infant optics which i think makes life better.

The connection and distance is amazing. Having this has provided me security and keeps me at ease while sleeping.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From the moment I unpacked the monitor and camera I could hear something rattling around inside the monitor which instantly drove me nuts! I took out all the screws but could not get the plastic pulled apart so whatever it is will just remain rattling around. So after moving past the rattling, I got it all set up and had the monitor placed in my room next to the bed and the camera downstairs in my daughters room. The connection was strong and the monitor was working great upstairs. The picture is pretty clear, not perfect, but clear enough to see what I need to! The volume is decent. I could hear everything pretty well! I think overall I would give this monitor a 4/5. I wish the monitor didn't have a rattle noise and had a little more weight to it as it feels a little cheap and I wish that the volume was a little bit louder. I would still recommend this to a family member or friend for an affordable option!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This camera can be watched by a monitor that comes with it or with your phone using the app it can turn and tilt and zoom it also will tell you the temperature of the room and has night vision. All pros. The cons either the camera has to stay plugged in or I couldn't figure out how to use it wirelessly and the battery life of the monitor that comes with it isn't the greatest if you leave it on constantly.

The first thing that I was impressed with how easy it was to set up I literally plugged in pushed a button Walla. It comes with legs on the camera, but also comes with a wall mount so you have the option. The camera can be controlled by the monitor. You can move it up and down or side to side so you can get a full view of the room. It also has a free app that journals everything you can record you can take pictures or save videos. You can also Have the camera sing lullabies make a white noise read stories and you can record your own voice on it and have the camera play it whenever you want it to. It is very good quality. The picture is great. There is two way talking so you can talk into the monitor and they can talk back to you through the camera , it really is the best monitor that I have ever had and I have had multiple. I have a four-year-old that has health issues and does not sleep well and I also have a lot of pets lol I have a dog and a cat and sometimes I just like to keep an eye on them so I have used multiple different cameras . The other thing I love about this is that you can get extra cameras to set up and connect to the same monitor.
