too narrow

It did not work with a circa 2005 Apple Cinema Display and an HP tower. Additionally, the USB-C port on this adapter is too close to the DVI port, I could not plug USC-C power and the DVI cable in at the same time (however I don't believe that would've made a difference in my case).

Mac Pro 2017 with Cinema Display

Works well with MacBook Pro 2017 and Cinema Display with DVI. Hot swappable. In use for 3 or 4 weeks now. No flickers. Solid picture.

Works fine. Could be a little wider.

Have a Griffin BreakSafe magnetic usb-c charging cable. That cable is too wide to fit the charging port on this adapter with a DVI cable plugged in, another millimeter or two of spacing between the USB-C and DVI connections on this adapter and it would work. Otherwise works fine to connect a second display to my wife's Macbook Air.

About the product itself: it works like a charm. No fuss at all. About Monoprice: the team was insanely responsive and I trust the brand overall with more of my purchases. About the usefulness of the product: I bought this initially because I had an Apple Cinema HD display that I didn't just want to get rid of. I figured I would find some weird use for it. But, ultimately, it's silly when your laptop screen has like triple the screen real estate than your external monitor that's limited by DVI. As a stop gap, I get it. But get a newer display screen. You're worth it.

Perfect.

I've been looking for a USB-C to DVI for almost a full year so that I would be able to connect my 2014 Cintiq to my 2016 MacBook, and this is the only one I've found that doesn't crash my computer. Excellent quality, especially for the price.
