  • Fast Charging: The USB C port supports up to 100W of USB Type C Power Delivery (PD) passthrough, allowing you to rapidly charge a laptop or other USB C compatible device. One of the Type A ports can provide 5 VDC, 1.5A (7.5W) of charging power for rapid charging of mobile devices.
  • Plug and Play: The Monoprice 6 in 1 USB C Multiport 4K HDMI Adapter is a true Plug and Play device. Just plug it into a DisplayPort 1.4 Alt Mode compatible USB C port on your computer and use it right away. No external drivers or complicated configurations are required.

Description

The Monoprice 6 in 1 USB C Multiport 4K HDMI Adapter is an all in one video and data solution for USB C equipped laptops and computers with support for the DisplayPort 1.4 Alt Mode. You can extend your desktop with a second HDMI monitor with support for resolutions up to 4K@60Hz. It features both SD and microSD 3.0 card slots with support for the UHS I Speed Class and 104MBps read speeds. Each card slot is compatible with the MMC, SD, SDHC, and SDXC formats with capacities up to 2TB and is individually addressed, so they can be used at the same time. Two USB 3.0 Type A ports and one Type C port provide data transfer speeds up to 5Gbps, so you can connect a variety of USB peripherals and devices. The USB C port supports up to 100W of Power Delivery (PD) and one of the Type A ports supports 5 VDC, 1.5A (7.5W) of charging power, so you can keep all your devices fully charged and ready for use. This adapter is compatible with USB C equipped Windows and macOS systems that support DisplayPort Alt Mode, as well as systems with a Thunderbolt 3 connection.

Does the trick for port expansion

This does exactly what I needed it to do which is add additional ports, including HDMI, card readers, a couple of USB-A ports plus a USB-C port to replace the one USB-C port it takes up. All these things were lacking in the laptop I bought for other reasons.

Great for M1 MacBook

This successfully connects my LG 24UD58 monitor to my M1 MacBook Air while a more expensive CalDigit hub gave me only a blank screen. Charging and SD card reader both work too.

Highly Recommended

Far better than the aluminum monolith I used to use. All functions 100%. All that's missing is the RJ-45 ethernet jack. Happy with this product. SD card function is reliable- old model was not.

It's just ok, but price is cheap

While convenient and it does work most of the time, it does sometimes needs to be unplugged and the replugged to work. Can't use it for power to my laptop, won't charge. So not a 5 star item.
