Perfect for TVs
Totally did what it needed to do for some reason even the high-end TVs the Wi-Fi is no more than 100 megabits per second this allows you to get your gigabytes worth or close to it of speed internet

Working great so far
Using this on Debian Linux. I was able to install the necessary firmware from default repositories, and added it to /etc/network/interfaces once I figured out the name of the device. I haven't stress tested it, but my switch isn't gigabit. I got this because it was only a few dollars more than the USB 2.0 10/100 adapter, and I figured I'd go future-proof for when I upgrade the network.

Drivers already in the OS - Mac OS, iOS...
Works fine on Mac, and even on an iPhone - plug it in and it's working! (With a powered hub as an injector)

Works as intended to go from built-in 100MB to 1GB
I used the device to connect to the USB 3.0 on my Sony 4K Bravia TV to increase the internet speed to 1GB since the built-in ethernet port is only 100MB. For the Sony Bravia 4K streaming it states it requires a minimum of 80MB so I wanted to have as fast as possible internet connection and I did not want to connect through Wi-Fi as I do not have a Wi-Fi 6 router and try to avoid using Wi-Fi if I can hard wire it. I tested the speed after hook-up and I received 800MB download speed and about 200MB upload speed. I noticed software updates download faster as well.

Connect to Ethernet
Due to work/study at home, my wifi signal was being consumed and slowing down our electronic devices and laptops. I wired my house (buying materials from Monoprice) to get max speed from my cable provider. I use this to connect my ethernet to old windows and Mac laptops.

Adapter works as advertised.
Due to the Covid-19 situation was assisting a family member in being able to teach remotely. Originally, was connecting via wifi and results were not as promising as we would have liked. I then thought of connecting directly to my network but the laptop that was being used did not have a network connection, Searching I found USB to Ethernet adapter. It is working flawlessly and remote teaching is working far better then with wifi.

Perfect replacement for old device!
This device replaces an old adaptor. Works with Linux and keeps my old Notebook online. I started shopping for a replacement and looked around the net. Then I remembered MONOPRICE. They had the lowest price. Order arrived in 3-days. I am extremely happy!

Works
Our "Gigabit" Verizon service only provides 250-450 Mbps in the house, but the laptops are restricted by 100 Mbps cards attached to the board (so not replaceable). Put one of these on the wife's HP Pavilion and immediately got a range of 250 - 350 Mbps. Amazing and worth it!
