Check your stud placement first
You cannot mount this one directly in the center. There are no mounting holes. Where we needed to mount, a stud ran down the middle of the bracket & then it was not long enough to reach a stud on either side. We ended up needing to return it because it would not work for us. The directions are kinda difficult to follow and the extension arm does not move smoothly. For the price point there are much better options we found.

First Time disappointed
I hung a 65" TV that was about 60% of the maximum weight and the entire mount bent severely. I don't think anything is going to fall but I certainly would not trust it to extend the monitor out away from the wall. I will probably replace it in the near future. This is the first mount from MONOPRICE I've purchased that I have been less than satisfied with.

A really great deal for a high quality mount.
Honestly for the price I was slightly worried about the quality. But, I was so surprised at how well built this thing was. It looks really good and came with real mounting instructions which were actually helpful! It fit my TV well and works great for the space I had to mount in. I will not doubt buying this brand next time, it was fantastic.

Smaller TV
I got this mount for a 70 inch TV. I have it screwed into the studs in the wall. The TV makes it on the mount with less than 1 inch to spare. I don't like moving it because it has too much play in it. The mount is nice but I think it is not big enough for my size TV. I think it is strong enough for the TV, it is about 50 pounds. I'm going to order the next size up and use this for a smaller TV.

Excellent. Its the little things. Like a built in level to ensure its properly installed. Heavy and high quality. There is no reason not to buy Monoprice Tv mounts at a fraction of the cost of other vendors. Monoprice customer service is top notch as well. A+ experience.

I was impressed by the build quality of this wall mount and the flexibility to adjust the TV. My install was for a corner and this mount fit perfectly on one wall and allowed the TV to be pulled away from the wall and adjusted at a 45 degree angle such that you can't see the mount at all once installed. I was only installing a 20lb TV but I believe the specs that indicate it can hold a TV up to 99 lbs. It was super easy to install...30 minutes from start to finish. Would definitely recommend.

DO NOT PURCHASE! The security bar feature of this mount is very poorly designed. I purchased the original Monoprice mount based on this simple design about 10 years ago without the security bar feature and still use it today. This updated version with security bar at the bottom does not secure at the bottom. Posted photos illustrate this poor design.

Nice but hard to move.
Sturdy, pretty simple to hang on the wall. Once the TV was hung on the mount I found that the effort needed to move the screen is quite high. I’d describe the mechanism as very stiff. Maybe this will loosen up over time with repeated movement, and maybe this is adjustable.

The bracket itself is very solid and moves easily. Would have given it five stars, but the metal on the stud screws is very soft and started to become stripped under any kind of force.

Not sturdy
Tried to use this to mount a 54 lb 65" tv (well within the specified tolerances for this mount) but it did not inspire confidence. The mount would not hold the the TV at a 0 degree tilt no matter how tight the mounting hardware was, and eventually I tried tightening the bolts so far that they stripped. Additionally, the arms seemed flimsy when extended out from the wall for this large of a TV. I'd have no problem using this for a smaller size and lighter TV though as it would provide good adjustability.
