Description

Monoprice Onix Series Cable is made from premium quality RG-6/U with double copper braid shielding to prevent signal degradation caused by EMI and RFI interference. Featuring a two gold plated RCA male connectors on each end, this cable is ideal for conducting line level RCA audio signals from a CD player, record player, or analog media device to an AV receiver or amplifier. The plastic cable jacket has been encased within braided nylon, which resists nicks and cuts without reducing cable flexibility. Additionally, the braided jacket gives a premium appearance over that of ordinary plastic jackets. The CL2 rating on this cable indicates that the jacket has been treated so that it complies with fire safety regulations, making it safe for use in or through the walls of residential class buildings.     Really good strong cables! Sweet spot price wise and quality is excellent! Driving Adcom amp and streamer pushing KEF R3 speakers. Wonderful!

    Connection is not tight.

    These cables are of high quality construction and materials and hav a great appearance. I am pleased with all aspect except one - the connection is not tight! The locking barrel does not apply much pressure to the connection. With it completely tightened I can still easily pull the cable out. There is hardly tension applied at the terminal. My other cables are very tight even without a locking mechanism. This weakness needs to be removed!

    Great budget interconnects

    Wanted to run F/L from my Denon 3700 to a B&K ST202 amp - these fir the bill and more so. Why go crazy for this equipment?

    Onix Analog Stereo Cable

    This is s very nice cable interconnect but for one really stupid thing. Whoever designed this cable should be fired. All the cables are color coded the same making connecting them difficult. So to the design person it's simple. One connector should be red colored and the other connector should be white colored so that they match the components they are connected to. And this would differentiate the cables from each other making it easy for the installer to install. I mean really. I guess I know where these are made.

    Exactly what I was looking for. Love that you can lock them in place by twisting the ends. Previous cable kept coming lose and these fixed the problem.
