Not VESA Compliant not stable at DisplayPort version 1.4

This cable is not VESA compliant, it does not have locking clicks to keep it in place. I should be able to get 144Hz on my widescreen monitor in display port 1.4 mode but it is not stable with this cable. Had to downgrade to 1.3 mode and 120hz. Bought a different brand that is VESA Compliant and could then enable 1.4 mode and overclock monitor to 160hz and it is completely stable. This is the 2nd time I've been bitten by Monoprice and their supposed "compliant" cables. Won't be buying again.
