A: If your MacBook Air has a type 1 Thunderbolt port, or a Mini DisplayPort port, it should work. I can confirm that it works on a mid-2012 non-Retina MacBook Pro (MacBook Pro 9,1).

A: Hi, Excellent - Thanks for asking! This Mini DisplayPort to HDMI cable may not work for your setup because it is a unidirectional cord designed for specific computer outputs. Most TVs and soundbars require a standard HDMI-to-HDMI connection to communicate via ARC/eARC, whereas this cable is intended only to send a signal from a Mini DisplayPort source to an HDMI display.
