flickers. ugh.
this was one of two DP MST hubs I could find that didn't require power outside the DP connections and I was so hopeful. Sadly, it would intermittently drop connection. Cables are good. Graphics card is good. Screens (Asus) are good. checked all settings, and the connected monitors would change from 60hz to 59.9xx as soon as they were connected through this device and that would not change no matter what I did. I ended up buying one with additional USB power from another well known star tech brand and issues instantly went away. I love everything I have from Monoprice except this.

Works pretty well
I have had my unit in service for about 3 months. This display system is usually active for 4-5 hours per week. Upon booting the computer I will have instances where I need to boot again as the first screen will either not activate or will have an issue where it works great for 10-15 minutes, goes blank for 5 seconds then works for 10-15 minutes. Not a show stopper but annoying. I have not looked into returning it.

Try a little harder maybe?
Exceptionally poor quality. It worked alright for about 3 days... and now its position and cable connection have to be aligned celestially in order to get both displays to function without fritzing out.(And no, it's not the monitors, or the source driver, or any other variable... they've all been ruled out)
