Mega Construx Masters of the Universe Castle Grayskull Building Set Multicolor Construction Toy for Creative Play and Collectible Display

Bought this "for my son" for Christmas, and its such an amazing set. It's a very long and detailed build so be aware going in, but the instructions are very detailed so they make the whole process much easier. The micro figures are very cool too. If you like building stuff like this and you like Masters of the Universe I can't recommend this enough to you. Great product!

My husband has been a He Man fan since he was a kid. He passed that love onto our kids. They have been working on this castle for a few weeks now. Little bit here and there. It has cool little tweaks that make this special. Will post completed photos when they are done. I thought this was a tad pricey but the family loves it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband was a He-Man guy ever since he was 4 years old, and he was beyond excited that my son loves it just as much as he did/does! So when Play, Rate & Review Program allowed my family to build one for an honest review we were thrilled! The amount of detail was beyond impressive. Inside the super cool box was 4 more boxes so you didnt have every single piece out on the table, this made it so much less frustrating to build! Plus no stickers to put on! All the amazing details are already on the individual bricks- we so appreciated that. It was hours of fun to build and so many more hours of fun playing with it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Growing up, I loved to watch HeMan Masters of the Universe. However, I couldn't afford to get Castle Grayskull as a kid. This product lets me relive those memories! This set is so much fun, from the time spent building it to the time spent playing with it. The castle is quite detailed for a building set, and it comes with lots of characters. The only drawback I saw was that it didn't come with ALL the key characters (some you would have to purchase in a separate set).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, this Mega Construx set is huge. I knew from the piece count that it would be large, but the box is about two feet by a little over one foot. The presentation when you open it is beautiful. There's full color art on the inside of the lid, and a manual that's nearly as big as the box. The pieces are separated into four numbered interior boxes that also have some nice black and white artwork. The manual has huge pictures and more full color artwork. The instructions are pretty clear and use colored dots to help you align pieces where it might not otherwise be clear. Though I chose this mostly for my oldest child (11 1/2), it is such a big project that there was plenty to do for everyone. In fact, the instructions are divided into five sections that can be built independently of each other, so I was able to give each kid a section to work on independently. (Anyone who has built any building block sets before knows that it's often hard for more than one person to really build at the same time usually.) There were a couple of places where the pieces were harder to attach for the littler girls, but considering the age rating, that seems completely expected, and it makes it more of a family project anyway. There was good use of some rounded blocks mixed in with the squarer ones to give the walls texture, so that the lack of range in the appropriate wall colors (It is Castle Grayskull after all.) didn't feel too bland. There were neat features to build (like a prison cell and a cannon on top of a tower) and lots of little details (plenty of weapons on racks and a very toothy drawbridge). The figures are colorful and detailed. The quality has been solid. Bricks stick together as they should and the build is solid. Things don't fall apart when you pick them up. You can safely carry it from one room to another without worrying about losing bits. We've had the set for a couple of weeks now and still are not completely done building it. (I'd guess we're about halfway.) The kids keep going back to it, not getting bored with it as they sometimes do once the newness of a thing wears off. They keep excitedly showing me the next neat thing they discover as they put it all together and make up stories to go along with the figures. They've enjoyed it immensely and I'm glad we chose it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an impressive building set. There are 4 numbered boxes within the large box that include numbered bags. The instructions manual is about half an inch thick, but detailed and pleasantly colorful. The build itself takes a long time and attention to detail but it is well worth it. Hours of fun building it followed by a lot more of imagination at play. I found the little figures to be hard to put together and some pieces didn't fit quite right.

She has had hours of fun putting it together and we both bond over the building. If you are or were a He-Man fan this a must if for anything how amazing it looks! The details are beautiful and even the box is a work of art!

I love the fact that is a construction game, but the character are not lego style and have better features. The quality is really good. The only “ negative” thing the characters are very small and sometimes hard to put together for an 8 yrs old boy. but overall I would highly recommend this product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 10 year old daughter and I had so much fun building this castle together, the quality was great and the bricks stayed together great. The castle had tons of details the figures were very cool too with tons of accessories. We even invited my 6 and 5 year old nephews over to check it out, they loved it! It was definitely a challenge to build this castle but the instructions were great and very clear step by step. It was also great that the box came with 4 smaller boxes inside which allowed you to build the castle in sections which helped a lot. Overall we loved this castle!

This Is The Start To Hopefully A Great Many MOTU Sets!!! Mega Construx Knocks This Outta The Park!!! How About We See The Talon Add-On. Maybe See The Slime Pit, Snake Mountain, Crystal Palace, The Fright Zone...Heck Mattel And Mega Construx Could Delve DEEP Into The MOTU Encyclopedia And Give Us Sets Never Seen Before. Moss Mans Swamp Hide Out, Evil Lynns Lair Or Zodaks Orbiting Space Base. Even More And New Figures. We Need She-Ra, Hordak, Zodak, Trap-Jaw And Tri-Klops. HOWEVER!!! STOP DRAGGING YOUR FEET MATTEL!!! We Need These Sets, Figures, Vehicles And Creatures FASTER!!! We Are Three Years In And We Only Have One Set, Two Vehicles And Ten Figures(?). Albeit One Vehicle With One Figure In Particular Is An Exclusive That's Currently Sold Out. The Space For Mega Construx Is Minimal To Say The Least In Dept Stores. Making It Even Harder To Obtain These AWESOME Toys!!! Theres So Many Opportunities Being Missed Here. Please Mattel Dont Fail Us. We Want to See This Toy Line Succeed!

The set is massive and comes with so many figures! Hours of continued play and imagination even after the fun of building the set.
