Classic cage review.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ropes were tangled and tricky to unwind. Once I got that done construction was pretty simple. . The springy floor of the ring was pretty cool. I thought. I can see this being fun for kids. Unfortunately I had picked this to review with my grandson. He's not quite old enough yet. My fault. I did t lay attention to the age recommendation. So I can't say much more about the product.

Barebones yet Vintage-Styled Wrestling Fun!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Assembly of the WWE Legends wresting ring and steel cage was fairly straightforward for an adult: inserting posts, looping elastic bands for the ropes, applying stickers (in the vintage logo!), and finally assembling the steel cage, which just required some snapping together -- and everything was ready for play! We dug out a few vintage '80-90s WWF-era wresting figures and had a blast simulating a few cage matches from that same era. My son received a history lesson on some of the historic cage matches, including the famous Mankind vs. Undertaker match. There are no other included accessories like in some previous ring playsets, like a championship belt, a staircase, commentators' monitors, tables, etc. Some of these are understandable since the steel cage itself would interfere with the inclusion of stairs or tables around the ring. However, the ring itself is quite nice: the mat is actually spring loaded, so you can simulate bounces after slams or front flips, etc. The steel cage is of course plastic as expected, but it can be easily slid off of the ring posts and stored either assembled or flat if so desired by unsnapping the sides of the cage from the clips. The addition of a door in the cage is a nice touch, so you can simulate ring entry through the door if you like, or you can pretend that the door is locked and require that the wrestlers must climb back out of the cage and land on the floor to win the match like some common cage-match rules. The ropes are elastic-y enough to simulate some good aerial maneuvers or having the wrestlers run and bounce around the ring. We have considered adding a top cover to the cage to simulate "H*** in a Cell" matches, but that of course is only possible when playing on the top or sides of the cage. When wanting to actually play inside the ring, a top cover is not possible, which is likely why one was not included. Overall, this playset is good fun and can be a great way to introduce younger kids to some of the history of WWE.
