watered down formula
Bought the brown a month ago. I've used this liner regularly, but with the new packaging it's a new formula that is diluted, it's like using watercolour paint. The shade is lighter and needs many layers, but still not as dark as it was. Gave up and got a Rimmel liner instead.

Makes it so hard to create a straight edge and when you go back over it, it smudges away. Also doesn’t fill in gaps between eyelashes like a liquid eyeliner should.

Not waterproof. I put on this eyeliner without realizing it wasn’t waterproof…I didn’t know until about two hours into my workday and the first customer who saw me said I had streaks of eyeliner running down my face….!!!! I couldn’t believe it. I’ve never had horrible runny eyeliner like this before!! Do not buy this!

new formula is so bad
this was my favorite eyeliner and i'd buy it all the time. i recently bought the new one but the texture of the new formula is terrible and dries too fast. not to mention the eyeliner barley lasted me a month when the old formula would last me almost half a year! i just really miss the old one

Why change the formula?
This used to be my favorite, go to eyeliner, but the formula has changed. It doesn't last, it flakes off weirdly, and worst of all I'm allergic to new formula. Very disappointed in Maybelline for ruining something I've used for years.

Wanted to love this! It doesn't always glide on very nice, has to push the application on my hand to get it going, and ended up smudged all over my upper eyelid despite care and using a setting spray. Didn't even make it 2 hours before I had to wash it all off. Ended up tossing it.
