Target needs to really figure a better way to conduct these sought after collectibles when they go on sale with limited supply. I literally went to multiple targets on multiple days, and basically camped the Target near my home. When I say camp, I mean I visited this Target about 4 times a day, multiple days, since the website said it was in stock. I talked to the employees and asked about them and they always used the excuse it was still on pallets. Well, yesterday I visited the same Target around 4pm and was told the same thing. It's on a pallet and to check tomorrow or next week. I check the app to see what other Targets that say in stock, only my local Target and another an hour and a half away are the only ones in my area. I go on about my day. I literally check the app again in less than an hour from leaving my local Target and it says Out of Stock. I swear the employees are just buying em and flipping em online. I can't blame em, tbh. But Target needs to do a better job at their system for this. I ended up just buying 3 of these Civics and an S2000 directly from Mattel, so I'm not really bothered. I just figured I'd post my experience on here cause it's definitely a Target issue.

I ordered and paid for this last night when it had said this item was in stock. This morning when picking up, I was told that it was no longer in stock even though I had already placed my order and paid. Waste of time.

Target app and site needs work. Not being able to purchase online and only in store purchases when said item is in stock but employees say nothing in the back is upsetting. After going to the 3rd Target that said in stock and purchase in store I was able to buy my set. Mattel has great details and custom pieces that make this a great build.

This was really frustrating trying to find we went into multiple stores that said they were in stock and they were not on shelves and no help was given to get it from the back. Received multiple notifications that they were back in stock and then when I went to purchase, it said I couldn’t. But finally, it would let me do an order pick up and I got very lucky and was able to snag one of these for my son. I think the website is so wonky! Hang in there and keep checking availability all day long

Employees are back dooring or taking stock. Ive been to 5 local stores with no chance at all. Yesterday a store said they were planning to have it by the end of the week, it then went out the next day. I checked the app when they closed and they had 4, by opening time it said out of stock. A store today had 8 last night at 10pm, tell me why by 3am its out of stock. Theres no customer thats able to buy at that time. You arent able to set pick up on this, so its employees that are taking them. I somehow got the system to where it did allow me to pick up at a store for it to ultimately say its “out of stock” again. I set pick up at 5:20am in hopes if there were overnight workers who picked orders, they would be able to secure my order, yeah no. Whats even crazier is ive visited both the 2 stores i gave examples about and they have the audacity to put the tag out on the shelf of where these are meant to be (shocker, they never touched the shelves). Im disappointed in target, im disappointed in employees and overall it makes a lot of distrust in this company for me now.

These aren’t actually available for sale anywhere. Says they’re in stock at several stores in my region. I checked every store, they all claim they aren’t available. Wouldn’t be surprised if these were being hoarded and resold by employees.

Not for the item but Targets approach to this. OK so the store near me had 2 available to pick up and before I'm done signing in and placing order it disappears from the location and isnt available. What on earth is going on here! And I'm not a scalper. I just want this car for myself thats all. Probably they are backdooring this item amongst the staff. Absolutely disappointing. Target Corp needs to bring this behavior to an end.

People are getting upset it’s not in stock but it’s a great set to build. Would highly recommend for anyone that likes jdm cars

yorba linda store worst customer service. I'm on my way on the phone trying to get someone to pick up so I don't waste my time. get to the store just for an employee to tell me anyone can pick up the phone and that this item is on pallets still

So target has none in stock even though it says they have multiple in stock. They told my wife they must be in the back to check online or back in the store in a day or 2. Well now it says they have 0 in stock. Employees are backdoor selling these or giving selling them to their friends. Ask me why I say this? See my uploaded photo of 343 of these for sale on eBay currently. Scalpers have ruined everything.

The target in Middletown louisville ky has employees keeping stock of this. They had some in stock in a box where i could see them and the employees stocking everything refused to give me one. I think target should do something about it but this is america and corporations always win.

Went there on Tuesday and asked an employee where I could find this item. They checked the product number and it’s in back stock but no location. They made the excuse that it’s buried in a pallet. It said 4 units available on Tuesday and now it said 1 unit available today. They said to come back soon.

I has been buy it on different Target, when is available for pickup and they canceled the order because they out stock. Target system is indicating bad information.

Like the other reviewers.. we had a tough time getting this car. I had 3 different orders cancelled and the price changed but I did'nt expect the pick up option because it does say, "not available for pick up". Somehow.. one of my pick ups made it through and we got one! So sick! Changed out the sunroof piece and it looks dope. Hoping they make a few more old schools!

Patience Truly is key! Target stores are currently doing a full toy reset after the holidays and being wiped out. I checked daily twice a day bc they said it should be out sometime this week! I got lucky and snagged it tonite! Super excited and Thank you for all the help from the Workers!

Drove to 4 Targets and every time the employee couldn't find one for me. Finally got lucky and was able to place a pickup order! Don't give into the scalpers, boys. Great set and very accurate to the real deal!

called the store local to me (somers point, NJ) was assured many times there were 4 on the shelf. of course the employees were too lazy to look themselves. i told them i doubted they were there and to please check but they assured they were there. of course they weren't there when i got to the store. they told me they'd look in the back. came back after a half hour and said sorry they must have all been stolen. hour and fuel wasted. dump.

Came to the store after being shown that there were some available. Before I went in it said 5 available, I ask the employee that is on the area and she says that they cannot get them out because those are buried on the back. I refresh the inventory and now there are just 4. Great work managing your inventory ! Save your gas or maybe give them a few bucks to have them magically appear a box from the back.
