Manhattan Toy Beats to Go Wooden Toddler and Preschool Musical Learning Toy with Xylophone, Drum, Cymbal and Washboard

My kid loves this thing so much that it gets 5 stars regardless. We got it secondhand at a thrift store and she's thrown it off her high chair a million times, but it's still in great shape!! The only weird part is the xylophone—it's missing the bottom of the octave so the scale starts on re instead of do, and it feels like it would make more sense to nix that top note so we could play a few standards like Twinkle Twinkle on it. Kid may never actually care about this though.

I purchased this for my grandson's 1st birthday as he loves music and making different sounds. He immediately picked up the drumsticks and began to hit the cymbal, the xylophone and drum. He really enjoys the sounds and watched as his mom tapped out a tune. This item is well made, compact and I think will provide a lot of fun as he grows and learns how to do more with it.

Love this toy and so does my daughter. We got it for her one year birthday so she doesn’t fully understand that the sticks are to make the music but otherwise, she love playing with the drum and hearing us play it for her. She dances along. I’m sure in a month or two, she’ll get it and love it even more. Great quality once again Manhattan Toy!

This is my 15 month-old's favorite musical toy. He actually plays it correctly, with the drumsticks and all. He has also given it quite a beating, and while the design on the drum has chipped off in a few small places, it's not as bad as I would expect, and the drumhead itself has held together strong, which is really impressive. And every other part is still in perfect condition. This is really good quality.

Xylophone isn’t even close to he tuned but the baby cannot tell, so other than that this toy is a favorite.

A gift from Santa to our 20-month-old who loves various instruments, it is the first toy he pulled out this morning to play with. It's sturdy, we've had no damage yet, even for a rambunctious toddler. For construction, my only negative is the xylophone bars do go crooked, which deadens the tone a little; the need another rubber washer between the top brad and the bar. I flip the whole table upside down and shake it real quick to get them to lay flat (momentarily) for resonance. The musician in me also wishes there were all 8 xylophone bars, as 7 feels like a cliffhanger. And it starts on Mi instead of Do. Not that my kid notices. haha

My toddler enjoys playing with this, at least in spurts, and I love it because it's a few different things in one which is great for our small space. A small bit of paint has chipped off of the drum soon after we got it, but hasn't gotten any worse. Overall would recommend if you're looking for something simple and compact.

I only just received it and planned to give it to my son for Christmas. This toy is beautifully designed, however I am not sure I actually received a 'new' product despite paying full price. The drum part was a bit dirty, there was a chip on the top, and the toy was just in the box with no additional packaging. Love the toy, a little underwhelmed with the delivery.

We are so pleased with this purchase—gave it to our granddaughter for her first birthday a couple of weeks ago. As she grows it will hold her attention longer than now but she does enjoy it as she realizes all the different ways she can make sounds. We are buying another Beats To Go for our grandson as he turns a year old in a couple of weeks. Great product that is well made and worth every penny.

I’m disappointed at the build quality for this price point. Dried glue coming out from under one piece, the xylophone keys fall to one side or the other and end up not making much more than a muted tone of anything

Overall, it’s a good product but the keys don’t make much noise. This is disappointing..this is a musical toy...so it should make more noise....the drum section is good.

I bought this for our 11-month-old and we enjoy it together. As gets a little bit older he will be able to actually use the sticks to hit the keys. Right now he likes listening to the sounds and spinning the symbol. Very cute toy, very happy with this purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son is 7.5 months old and loves playing with musical instruments, he is a fan of your Lama too, but there are only a few musical toys on it. We gave this to him for the first time last day and he immediately started tapping away! Though I know the toy is for an older age group, we found that my son loves to figure out what things do, like the standing tree activity center, he spent time figuring out how to move the beads, tracks, etc. Not perfectly, but how he plays with toys changes as we rotate them in and out. Our philosophy when selecting toys are more focused on self exploration and this is perfect! I listed a few other things below. What is neat about it are the following: 1. It is low and light enough that he can grab it, lift it and explore all the sides 2. The two wooden sticks are bigger making it easier to hold on to, I think the extra weight on them helps too 3. The fact that all the instruments are on one level makes it easier to hit something... anything! But this is particularly interesting because he had these things separately yet what happens is he just migrated towards his favorites vs. this is like a musical activity center. And I find he will go through each of them to figure out what they do as they are all connected. 4. I personally love the colours, it is a nice neutral colour that we love having out!

I know probably is to early for my 5months old baby, he takes the sticks on he’s mouth, but if I help him, he will touch the drum and the xylophone area. We all enjoy this so much, it keep us busy, and he’s learning as well how to grasp and music sounds. Yay is a win win. Also didn’t have to buy it separate, is kinda all in one, which is nice. Very great product, recommended.
