Q: Is it compatible with a MacBook?
A: Hi, thanks for reaching out about Logitech Wireless Mouse M317 Mouse. The Logitech M317 is technically compatible with a MacBook, but there is a catch regarding the physical connection. Unlike many modern mice, the M317 does not have Bluetooth. It relies entirely on a small USB-A "Nano" receiver (the little plug that stays in your computer). The "Port" Problem Older MacBooks: If your MacBook has the rectangular USB-A ports, you can simply plug the receiver in, and it will work instantly (Plug & Play). Modern MacBooks (Air/Pro): Most MacBooks made after 2016 only have small, oval USB-C ports. Because the M317 receiver is the older rectangular type, it will not fit directly into your laptop. How to make it work: If you have a newer MacBook, you will need a USB-C to USB-A adapter (often called a "dongle"). You plug the mouse receiver into the adapter, and the adapter into your MacBook.
