Q: Is there a timer for the light?

A: The original green ones I bought in 2022 did NOT have a timer, but the new pink ones I bought in 2025 DO have a timer (not sure how long it's for). So I'm not sure if the new green ones have a timer.

A: Yes, next to the on/off switch is a battery cover that can be removed to replace the battery.

Q: How much does this ornament weigh? Is it easily hung from a real tree or is it too heavy?

A: I find them a little heavy to hang on my real tree, but if you have a fake tree with sturdy branches maybe. Not impossible but I wouldn't risk it.

Q: Is there supposed to be one hole in the tree itself (where a light would be)? I found two in store, and both have a light "missing" in different spots on the tree.

A: No they have colored bulbs in every hole. There should not be any missing..... mine are complete.

Q: The switch goes in either direction but there is a center setting. Which is the timer? I had one turn on immediately but after turning off, it won't come back on. I bought 2.

This ornament is so cute! It lights up brightly and is well made. The light has an automatic timer. If I remember correctly it is on for 18 hours/off 6 hours. The size is perfect. Delightful Christmas tree ornament
These little ornaments are so adorable, even though they are a bit problematic. I ordered a total of eight for drive up on two separate occasions, and the second batch came with missing plastic light pieces. The rest of the plastic light pieces seem very well secured. Just check that the one you choose has all of the lights. I would definitely AVOID having these shipped. Target's shipping packaging is absolute crap - they really need to improve that - and these little ornaments will be damaged in shipping for sure. I will not order anything fragile to be shipped from Target because of their awful track record of things arriving damaged or broken. They must lose a fortune from that! Anyway, the ornaments use three LR44 button batteries, and they will definitely need replacing during the season. Maybe keep a few extra batteries on hand. All in all, I am delighted with these little light-up Christmas trees! The price was a bargain for what you get, imo. Well done, Target!
