Too lightweight and too long
There was no description or dimensions listed so it was a bit of a risk ordering these. They are not circular, looped bands. They are long stripes about 6 ft and 4 inches wide that you can tie or grip at the ends when using. They’re folded up and packaged wrapped in a plastic ziplock bag inside a small box. They also seem to ship directly from a marketplace vendor - not from a Target warehouse or store.
Depends on what you want out of them If they will work for you. I was looking for resistance bands for low squats, crawls, leg lifts where I can make very tiny movements for shelter-at-home workouts and wanted a finished mini-band like they have at OrangeTheory fitness. These are better designed for long stretches such as reaches from your feet with your arms standing or sitting or to put over a hook on a door and do pulls. They would also work well for recovery from leg or foot injuries as a delicate way to build muscle strength. You can cut them and make them into smaller bands, which is what we ended up doing, but you do have an awkward rubber knots that you have to make sure you position right when exercising so it doesn’t bother your legs or arms. It’s a minor inconvenience during COVID-19 in the grand scheme of things, but for the price of these bands they should have better photos and descriptions. Like most resistance bands, they do curl up awkwardly mid-movement if you are using them tied around your legs.
I bought both sets, this one and the lighter resistance set, to get all levels of resistance in thinking they were looped bands. This was also a mistake because since they’re long straps and not bands I didn’t need a second level 3 - there was enough to make multiple bands types that I preferred out of one band. I’m returning the lighter resistance ones and keeping these ones only because it’s too hard to find other resistance bands that will ship fast and my partner and I can cut up these bands and get two sets of bands out of them.
Also, very very strange, but apparently they give you a set of cheap plastic handles to use the bands, which wasn’t listed. It was strange though, I only received one set of handles even though I ordered two sets. There are also no instructions on how to set them up and it’s a really weird design to where you can’t exactly tell how your supposed to insert the bands into them. The handles also rotate which is not practical for gripping during workouts. Since I didn’t want long straps with handles and I’m trying to reduce my plastic waste they are going to be returned with the one set.
