I started to build the car and then when I was getting closer to the middle of the build I realized that I was missing a lot of the smaller parts to connect the pieces together

I have built a lot of the Lego cars that are available, from both technics and the standard Lego bricks. This is the only one I have ever been disappointed in, no moving engine parts, no opening doors, not even a dashboard. It’s just a very basic car frame. This car is really all about the pull back mechanism and seems to be the only thing Lego have focused on. Looks nice from a distance but on closer inspection you can see that one of the green colour parts match. Feels like a half hearted job from the designers. Having no moving parts or features other than pull back I don’t think this was great value for money and wish I had gone for the blue Fiat 500 instead. I wouldn’t recommend, at this price point go for the jeep or Mclaren.

This was my first Technic set, so I don't have much to compare it to but I do build basically every other car. I'm a big Mustang fan so this was a natural buy for me. My biggest complaint is the gaps. It does still look nice, but things just don't fit well together. There are still some spaces when you look at it. I don't know if that is the Technic line or just this model, but there is no spacing issues in any of the other cars. The second is the color. I have never once looked at a Mustang and thought of lime green, especially a Shelby. I associate this more with Dodge and it is just a very odd choice. That stuff is just cosmetic though. Actual structure wise, I had a lot of difficulty getting the back trunk panel and spoiler to snap in. There was a lot of crowing and no matter what I did the pieces just would not do what they were supposed to. It probably took me over 45 minutes just to make it all work. Needless to say, I am not too keen on removing it to get the red bar in. It overall looks great with my other various Mustang models and is fantastic for the price point it just isn't my favorite. I'm eager to eventually try the '67 and see how they compare
