    What happen to LE corduroy pants?

    I have bought many of the Corduroy pants in the past years. I recently purchased the Navy in a medium. What have you done to these pants!? The material is thin and the length is too long which means I need to get them hemmed. Fortunately I got them on sale and happy I did not pay full price. Bring back the old Corduroy pants, please.

    Great wardrobe staple

    These have been my "go to" pants for years! They wash well, travel well, and are both casual and "business casual". I purchased a pair of black, blue and green. I did notice a difference in quality from years past. Weirdly, one pair was longer than the others. All three pairs purchased were the same size.

    Very nice fabric and colors, but runs big!

    I'm 5'8""so ordered talls. They ARE certainly long! I have some other Lands End pants in both L/Tall and XL/Tall. Decided to order these in L/Tall, and glad I didn't order XL/Tall. They are loose! Hoping once washed they'll shrink a little bit. For the price, and the length, I am happy. Ordered green, black, and navy. All great colors and comfortable fabrics.

    Disappointing fabric change

    I have purchased these pants in the past and expected the same quality fabric and sizing. How disappointing to find that they changed the fabric to thin, flimsy fabric and definitely not the look of corduroy. Ordered petite which are 2" longer than my presently owned ones. Five pairs being returned. I complained previously about how tight and uncomfortable the cuffs were on the turtlenecks. The changes to quality and fabric lead me to no longer purchase my reliable favorites

    Happy With My Purchase

    I recently purchased two pairs of these pants. I washed them right after receiving them. While technically not a “tall”, I ordered tall pants as I have long legs. I knew I’d still need to shorten them a bit. Easy for me as I love to sew. I agree with other reviewers that the pants are made of a thinner fabric, and, are larger size-wise than previous versions. I bought the pants in two colors; green and brown. I remain happy with my purchases and I plan to snag a few more pairs at their current low sale price.

    Basic Cords

    I’m 5’2”, 108. I purchased Charcoal Heather size XS Petite. Length was perfect. They have front pockets. I washed them and I don’t think they shrunk. If they did it was very slight. The pants are a thin material. I can wear them year round. In winter, I can wear long johns under them. The elastic waist allows for gaining and losing weight and having these still fit. They are versatile. As somebody else stated, you can wear them to garden, you can wear them to sleep in… You can dress them up or dress them down.

    Run really large! Very baggy!

    These pants are huge! I normally wear a 3x, but ordered 2x because I didn’t want baggy pants. They’re still incredibly baggy. The fabric is lovely, but I won’t purchase again and am returning these. I would suggest ordering down at least one size, maybe two.

    Comfortable style but thin material

    I've been wearing these pants for almost 10 years. I just purchased 3 pairs to replace ones that are wearing thin. They are a comfortable style; The waistband is back to being about 2 inches wide (which I like). The front pockets are a good size. However, the material is MUCH MUCH thinner than it used to be. It has a corduroy-like feeling but I don't think it is as heavy as the sport knit. (Corduroy pants are $2 cheaper than sport knit) I'll be wearing them for Christmas so I will see if they are warm just by themselves. I suspect I'll need to put a base layer under them if I am going to be outside too long. Corduroy has been considered a fall/winter material as it was heavier. Please consider having the material match. If they get any thinner, I will start looking elsewhere.

    Cheaper fabric quality now

    Years ago I purchased 4 pairs of this corduroy pants and they lasted for quite a few years (approximately 10 yrs.) Now these new pants today are NOT THE SAME material. They’re noticeably thinner. I was very disappointed. (Bought 2 pairs a month ago)

    Very disappointed Lands End. I’ve always valued your high quality classic clothing and accessories, but this is horrible. And it is NOT corduroy; it’s some kind of polyester-feeling textured velour. Will be returning immediately.

    Not what I expected...

    I ordered a pair in the size (6-8) that fit my measurements the best (the size that usually fits); but what I received was extremely large. Also, the pant legs were really wide not tapered as they appear in the photo online. The fabric is nice, however.

    Less warm

    The quality has certainly deteriorated in the past few years. The new ones are as thin as the regular sport knit and not really the heavier corduroy.

    Too big

    I bought t these pants in small petite and should have ordered extra small. They are huge on me, I’m 5 feet and 112 pounds. I’m keeping them to wear around the house because don’t want To pay for return shipping.

    Great Fit & Rich Black Color

    I ordered this style a years back and the black color was faint (almost charcoal) but the ones that I received this fall (2025) are a Rich, Deep Black and are beautiful! The fit is amazing as well. Buying more!
