    Nice material, odd fit

    I like the fabric in these as they are nice thick cotton. The fit is very weird though. They poof out below the waistband like jodhpurs. I realize also I would rather have the highwaisted as the the waistband goes around below the bellybutton at the thickest part of my belly, so they are always rolling over. What I would really like is the highwaisted in this slim cut leg. Those wide legs and boot cut do not look good on me. Please Lands End make highwaisted slim legs!

    Great fit and quality

    I am 5' 5 1/2" and 115 lbs. The XS fits almost like a legging. I love the relatively heavy fabric.

    Nice, but they shrink!

    These are very comfortable and I wear them everyday. However, be mindful that they are mostly cotton, which means they shrink and fade. After the first washing in COLD water on GENTLE cycle, and then line-dried, they became highwaters. Just sayin'. So what I would recommend is that you buy a length that is a little long for you. Which is what I'm going to do now!

    Disappointing quality of fabric

    They are not as substantial a trouser compared to previous pairs I have bought. The fabric is thinner and they feel not as nice a garment so wear - not worth the money.

    Too large in the hips.

    I purchase this style of pants because they were supposedly slim fit. Unfortunately they were too large in the hips. Way oversized in this area for slim fit pants. Disappointed!

    Fades quickly

    These pants fit great and are very comfortable. I wash them in cold water but after about 6 washes they have totally faded out. So disappointed.

    So happy with my purchase

    I have been thinking about buying these for ages and I'm so glad that I finally did. I am 5ft 2in and the petite are a perfect length on me and so comfy. I prefer a slim leg and these fit nicely without being too tight narrow. Really happy with them.

    Comfortable But Not a True TALL

    Have been purchasing Slim Leg Starfish pants for years. Seems like the cut is a bit more form fitting from the knee to heel in the last 2 years. Also, TALL size used to be 34" and now tall is 32". That is very disappointing. 32" inseam is considered an average length in most all women's pants from other companies. If I want ankle length pants there are plenty of other options. Please bring back the true tall sizing.

    Nice trousers but waist much to big

    These are quite nice trousers and fitted well except for the waist which was 2 inches to big, had to send them back.

    I’ve owned 15 of these pants over the years!

    I own these pants in long discontinued colors like rust and burgundy. But I now have three pairs of black, and three pairs of royal navy..I’m now ordering another royal navy pair, which is the best color Lands End ever came up with. I have multiple tops, sweaters, fleeces, and jackets, all in either that solid color, butt some great prints. I LOVE that they have no pockets, which tend to bulge out around my hips or belly, even though I’m only a Large. Beware though - because of the mostly cotton fabric, they do begin fading after maybe 10 washes. I wear those as sweats around the house now. I will try air drying the new pair now, but their thickness may require more than one day (indoors). But do buy them!

    Great pair of slacks. I order a couple of pairs in a size larger than I normally wear and they look just like dress pants suitable for the office. I order a couple of pairs in my true size and they look modern and stylish!!!!

    Dissatisfied with new style

    Same saddlebags.

    Ahh! Still with the hip saddlebags. I thought these were supposed to now have been completely out of circulation! I used to love these pants, lived by them, any size that I was at the time (only problem was a bit of fading but considering how much I wore them it was not surprising!). Please LE, are you ever going to bring back the cut you said you were going to on so many occasions? I have never been able to find a substitute.

    Length issues

    I really like these trousers,they are very comfortable and not baggy round the thighs which is my usual problem with trousers. I now have four pairs but every pair is a different length which is really annoying. One pair is a really good length for me, two pairs are a bit short and the fourth pair can only be worn with boots.

    Awful.

    I have bought these for years & always loved the fit. The last few pairs I bought had baggy extra material at the upper outer thigh. Like jodphurs almost. Looked terrible. I'm afraid to order again. And, since I have worn these for years, I didn't think it was necessary to save my receipt. 3 pair, an expensive donation.
