To use, simply turn the bottom knob clockwise for Fine grain and counter-clockwise for Coarse. Be sure to avoid dampness and do not grind over boiling pots. Do not use cloves or anise as oils will destroy plastic.

The BEST Grinders.

I had previously owned a set of these I bought of a shopping channel and loved them. When it was time to replace them I got something similar elsewhere, but they we not the same. I came back to these and couldn't be more thrilled. They are nice looking and do the job perfectly. Smooth grinding every time.

This Pepper Grinder Performs!

I've tried so many pepper grinders over the last 45 years. I've used the larger version of Kuhn Rikon pepper grinder for about 12 years and it still works great. You can grind a 1/2 teaspoon of pepper in a minute or less. This small one is good for the table and it could even work in the kitchen.

Instinct vs measuring

I love my Rikon grinders. While waiting for the replacement for my salt grinder it was soon evident that I measure my salt not by spoon but by grinds. It becomes instinctive.
