KiwiCo Colorful Chemistry

Very engaging for my 4 year old

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My girls really enjoyed this chemistry kit. Being able to use a scientific method, see chemical reactions and color mixing really made it a fun experiment

The kit is well organized and the instructions and ingredients and all the parts are set up in a way to make it totally foolproof and fun for kids. It's definitely educational. HOWEVER, the yellow pigment powder is barely pigmented at all, while the red and blue are as expected. because of this, the color mixing experiments do not really work (blue and yellow just makes blue, red and yellow just makes red). We also found that the colors did not transfer to the paper very well and that whole portion of the activity was very meh. This could have been great but unfortunately the whole yellow thing kinda ruined it.

The setup was super simple, everything was clearly labeled and easy to follow, which I really appreciated. She loved mixing the colors and watching the fizzy reactions, and it kept her fully entertained for about an hour. The experiments felt safe, mess-friendly, and perfect for young kids who are curious about science. It turned into both a learning activity and a creative art project. Highly recommend this kit for a fun, hands-on STEM activity you can do together!

The kids loved watching colors mix and change right before their eyes, and every experiment felt like a tiny magic show. He needed some help completing all of the steps, but he still enjoyed it and was engaged the whole time. I love that it comes in sustainable packaging, and seemed to have clean ingredients. It was very effective at engaging my child and getting them excited about science. I would definitely be interested in purchasing some of their other kits

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an excellent project box! When I got chosen for this project I was so excited not only for me but for my children also. My kids love science and anything with mixing colors, watching volcanos etc they love and I knew they were going to love this one. This box includes everything you need to get your little scientist to work and it includes step by step instructions on what you need just in case you want to repeat the experiment again maybe in your classroom if you work at a school. The scents are children approve and it’s not over powering. The value of this box is worth every penny. Your children will love this to the max.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a fun kit! I used it with my 3.5yo, she loved watching the colors foam up, just add water and watch it do its magic! Instructions were clear and I appreciate that some other options were given with every day products, we will definitely re try some of the experiments with what I have in my kitchen! The kit has everything you need to keep the mess to a minimal, trays, kids’ size bottle etc. The colors are vibrant! Overall, a super fun STEM kit - Santa will definitely check Kiwico collection for this upcoming Christmas!

They loved it so much they didn't want to stop. I love that the ingredients were safe for my kids, things we experience every day. They even give recommendations for experiments with normal kitchen ingredients. I would absolutely buy this again.

This was our first science kit from them though and my kids absolutely loved it. They really enjoyed mixing the colors and watching them foam up. It comes with so much stuff we were able to do the experiments multiple times.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We absolutely loved this kit. Very age appropriate for my almost 4 year old to do with a little help at times. The concept was great because we have been talking about color combos. He loved the fizzing and bubbling over. There were 3 activities in one kit; learning colors combos, making a card and learning reactions. Enough stuff came in the box for us to save and do it all again another day. We will definitely be purchasing a kit as it would make a great Christmas or birthday gift.
