I usually struggle keeping all the hair in the strands but I used a little bit of this braiding gel on my hands and it totally got rid of that issue. The hold is strong enough to keep braids and twists sleek and intact all day without flaking or leaving residue. Infused with ingredients like Jamaican black castor oil, honey, rosemary oil, shea butter and biotin B7, it also adds shine and moisture while helping strengthen hair.

Pros and cons about packaging - pleasing to the eye and for me it's a huge plus that I can recycle the jar after using; however, the bottom has a gap with nothing in it, so from the outside it looks like there's more product than there actually is, and maybe it's just me, but of the few times I've used it so far, I had some difficulty getting the lid unscrewed...maybe I tightened it too much or my hands were too slippery. It does say "maximum hold", but in my opinion its more of a 'medium'. I do like that it has organic Jamaican black castor oil, which i often buy products that have this. Also like that there are no sulfates or parabens. Its an absolute must that things I buy be cruelty free, so it hits that also.

I struggle with hold and look when I have twists in my hair, but this wasn't the case here. I love the quality and packaging of this product. I think if you're looking for a good braiding gel this is worth the price.

I have 4C hair which makes it difficult to find a gel thay will lay down my edges without it being flaky or turn white. This gel was not thick, so I didn't have to load a ton of gel on my scalp. This is definitely a keeper.
