Q: I just put the lamp together. The 2 side lamps work fine but the torchbearer will not work. I know the bulbs are good. ideas?

Q: My lamp makes an extremely annoying high-pitched sound when the torchiere is lit & it gets worse when the light is dimmed. What's up with that?

  • A: Hi there - is it this floor lamp that you are referring to? Regardless of the lamp, it sounds like a bulb problem. It could be that you are using a bulb (maybe a CFL or an LED bulb?) that is not dimmable. When dimmed, a non-dimmable bulb can often make such a noise. We would start by checking the bulb, maybe swap in a new bulb that you are certain is dimmable. If you are still having issues, contact us via your Target account and we can troubleshoot the issue with you. Thank you!

    Not a bad buy for this lamp. Actually love it and fits perfectly in the space I have it in. Highly recommend if you are in need of a standing lamp

    Top light died after 2 years

    This is a beautiful lamp, and I was perfectly happy with it until the very top lamp died for absolutely no reason after just under 2 years. Shotty quality overall. Also, Lamps Plus will not take old lampsto recycle, so we have to just put it in the garbage?

    Wish it still worked the way it used to.

    I have this lamp and enjoyed it until the Torchiere top stopped working. AIs it possible to get some information on repairing or rewiring just the top? My son is an electrician and would like to fix it for me but the instruction that came with the lamp are not helpful.

    Very pleased with this purchase

    I don't usually write reviews but I am very excited about this lamp. Assembly wasn't too hard; just takes some patience which, fortunately, my husband has because I do not. We bought this lamp to illuminate a very dark corner. We especially like the 2 side lights because there is a bookcase with glass doors in that corner and we previously needed a flashlight (no kidding) to find something in the bookcase. We have an outlet behind the bookcase so I am able to hide all the cords under the furniture. This lamp solved all our problems and it looks great. I was concerned the foot controls might be awkward to operate but they are actually very easy to use. Very pleased.

    Kathy Ireland Floor Lamp is a winner!

    I love my new Kathy Ireland floor lamp! It has three lights - two on the side of the stand and one on top. It lights up the whole room perfectly. The light fixtures and stand are beautiful and elegant looking too!

    Ordered 2 lamps & BOTH of them stopped working!!!!!!

    I have purchased 2 of these lamps in the past and the wiring has failed on both of them for the torchiere part of the lamp which is why they were purchased. I have lamps in my home that have lasted more than 30 years These lamps only lasted a few years before they stopped working. Very disappointed will not be buying any of Kathy Ireland's products again. It is a shame because it is a nice looking lamp

    Great lamp, but missing a screw.

    Looks and works great. Not to hard to assemble. Unfortunately one of the screes were missing. Luckily my partner had a spare around the house and was able to improvise with it.

    Doesn't turn off

    Absolutely beautiful, but apparently, you cannot turn off the top light completely, which is not addressed at all on the website. I've tried many times to get an answer from the company to no avail. I don't think we'll be buying anything else from this store.

    love our floor lamps!

    We have two of these lamps, just love the way you can dim them and move the lamp shades around. The style is very well made and sturdy. I highly recommend this floor lamp!

    Nice but would’ve been better if all of the parts were there.

    Screws missing that secure the socket into the base of the top lamp. Unable to secure the lamp. Had to go out and buy the screws. Otherwise it’s a beautiful lamp.

    JUST MAGNIFICENT

    I have been looking for over a year for a floor lamp that had a unique look....found it at Lamp Plus. LOVE IT, LOVE IT! I can't wait for company to show is off and strangely enough, it matches my ceiling fixture I purchased over 20 years ago! Thank you too for all your help and concern especially when my shades arrived damaged. In a heartbeat, I received a new set!

    beautiful lamp

    We had some challenges putting this lamp together as there were no instructions. However, it looks great and has multiple uses as you can turn on the top light alone or the what I calling the reading lights through a switch on the the floor.

    the perfect light for the location

    I needed a lamp to brighten up my dining room area. I also needed more direct lighting on the table and adjoining shelf area. Without any surface area for a table lamp and not wanting to perform any structural changes to the room, I decided a floor lamp would be the best solution. I have a 100 year old house and this lamp fit the desired function as well as keeping with the period.

    Lamp review

    I love the versatility of the lamp. However, after 1.5 months of getting lamp, the top stopped working even after I changed the light bulb with another dimmable bulb. The two side lights continue to work fine. Since it stopped working before the 60 days window, I was able to get a new lamp. I shall see how long this one last.
